That’s what I thought, but the Hercules line was meaningless to me.

I may have misunderstood.  Are they offering me $110K to take this?  If so, I’ll give it some thought.

BMW did it with the E46 in 1999 or whenever it came out. Definitely not a new problem. The mechanical door handle had an integrated electric switch to drop the window, I suppose.  This did not need a more modern solution.

In 8th or 9th grade, I went to either World of Wheels or the new car show, whatever it’s called, and then hung out with my friend. I was on the last bus of the night from DC to MD when the side mirror of an oncoming truck hit the side mirror of the bus. The driver said they would send another bus to finish the trip. I

Stealing IP is bad, but how does anyone think that it’s possible or practical that the info in an employee’s head can or should be blocked out?  Yes, I’ll take a new job and erase everything I learned at my old job from my brain, as anything else would be stealing their IP.

Mk7.5 GTI with a hitch.

Under 3000 lb, wow! My 2018 GTI specs around 3200. I enjoy all the torque, though. How does the Honda turbo not make more tq than it does hp?

I once used a piston to punch thru the side window of a car. When the window broke, my hand continued thru the window and I got a nasty puncture wound. That was an old car, but it still had safety glass. Maybe the Tesla would behave differently, but I sure wouldn’t try it, and I think my piston was a much safer

They spontaneously broke head bolts...

It’s a good thing it didn’t work, or he’d be on the way to the emergency room.

All the LLV’s I know had the 2.5L Iron Duke.

It says right in the article the Grumman LLV went into service in 1987, so if they were built in the 60's as you say, it took a really long time to get them delivered.

Motorcycles are legal. Lots of places don’t even require a helmet. A kei car is safer than a motorcycle. It’s probably no less safe than a 1970 VW. Safer than a Myers Manx-style dune buggy, but they’re legal.  And the average kei car owner probably puts just a few thousand miles per year on it.  Just an assumption,

I’ve spent very little time with a CVT. My wife’s 2024 CRV hybrid has an “E-CVT” which isn’t a CVT at all. It’s a great driving CUV, btw; she averages 36mpg, and her commute doesn’t particularly take advantage of the hybrid. So all I really know is what I hear about the notoriously unreliable ones, and maybe some

My GF in (and after) college bought a lightly used 92 or 93 Maxima SE with a manual trans and limited slip in 96 or so. That was a super sweet car, and a lot cheaper than an M5, and a lot cheaper to maintain, but M5 is my answer.

During the early stages of the pandemic, I went to a frozen yogurt shop. The sign on the window said to text your order to this phone number. So while I was looking at the long list of flavors, etc, trying to decide what I wanted, the young whippersnapper in the shop opens the door and says, “Are you comfortable

Oh look, a list of 10 cars I wouldn’t take for free!

the tail of the regional jet and impacted travel plans for almost 300 passengers:

I know plenty of people who get good prices from Progressive, but in 40 years of driving, Progressive has never given me a competitive rate, and I check rates from other insurers every couple of years.  I’ve had Geico for 22+ years.  I’ve had very few claims, and no complaints about how they were handled.

I hope they come up with the answer, and we hear about it. Another possible cause is a stuck/overheating trailer brake.
