But if the cars are bad enough to risk reputational damage (or is it just lost profit to BMW because these cars would compete in the market with un-salvaged ones??), who’s going to examine all the parts to make sure they’re OK?  Or to prevent the cars being sold as parts via removing one wheel center cap, selling

Alfred, why did you paint the Batmobile white?

But is Amazon using genuine Rivian chargers, or are they buying counterfeit ones on Amazon????

Hmmm... Black paint, cladding, and lack of detailed photos can hide a lot, but I’d expect to see flapping body panels after 22 years in MA and NH...

Sure, why not?  Amazing it’s not rusty.  It must have only recently arrived in NH from someplace warm, where it was kept in a garage whenever it wasn’t racking up miles.

Where did I put my flamethrower?

What does the OP mean, “killing new cars?”

DNF? DNS!

My stepson sells parts at a dealer that uses CDK. He’s gotten very little info from management. I suggested that management probably doesn’t know jack shit, though if I was management, I’d call a big meeting to tell everyone I don’t know jack shit, neither does the media (legacy or social), and probably neither does

You left off the rest of the sentence following “they took full responsibility and worked to correct the issue.” It should read “after an NHTSA investigation, multiple recalls, lawsuits and a class action settlement.”

Good work, Florida Man!

Do what? No Fox body of any variety ever came with a 9-inch. All early cars of any body style had a 7.5.

I’ve owned a 67 Firebird 400, a 71 Formula 400, and 76 and 81 Trans Ams. I’ve never owned a Camaro, but I think the 67-69 Camaros (especially in RS trim) are better-looking than Firebirds, and the 70-73 Rally Sport Camaro is one of the most beautiful cars built in my lifetime.

I was going to comment that I wish it was a wagon, but then reality hit. I love wagons when they’re cheap and you can use them like a pickup truck.

This does look like a 79 with 80-82 bumpers. It’s got a 79 hood, and 79 was the last year you could get the L82 with a stick. It’s too bad, because the 80 got lighter body parts and the aluminum diff. The L82-4sp combo performs shockingly well for a malaise-era car.

Sure, I saw Geoffrey Zakarian at TPA a while ago and everyone acted totally normal.

Eighteen to twenty of these are no surprise. For the others, let’s see where they fall in another two years.

IIRC, SS’s were discounted heavily by/after the end of production, but prices started climbing a year or so after they were all gone from the dealers.

All Cops Are Beachgoers?

Those are 17" wheels, Rob.
