I’ve probably shipped a couple of thousand cargo containers around North America and overseas, and I’m about to buy a bunch of storage containers, but I never bothered to think about (or else have forgotten about) the origin of the concept of containerized cargo, so thanks.

I could copy/paste your reply and just change the first few words to match my own ownership experience.

You’re right, the automatic is great, whether it’s the GM 4-sp in the earlier cars or the ZF 5-sp. (Wiki says there was a GM 5-sp too, IDK what markets or trims) I had a 97 528 with the 4-sp and an E46 330 with the ZF 5-sp auto. I’m still more excited about a manual, although I’ve only briefly driven one...

My friend is in a position of responsibility at a Genesis dealership. He was disappointed that we didn’t at least talk to him when we bought a new car recently. Yeah, I probably should have _talked_ to him, but really, I didn’t want to own a car designed by Hyundai engineers for the next couple hundred thousand miles.

I didn’t know about these.  I like the idea a lot, but not this truck.

First-gen is the only good gen!

I’d rather have an LS430, but you won’t find one this nice for even close to this price.  NP.

Fourteen years ago, they paid too much for a pair of Range Rovers...

Not nukes, but natural gas. Also not scientifically verified, just anecdotal.  I worked at a power plant in FL.  You could watch the weather satellite image of a storm approaching, then watch it split and bypass the plant.  Make of that what you will.

My friend’s wife had one of these in, well, IDK when she got it. Maybe new. Some years later, she got a new car and he took it over. Then I bought it for my wife around 1998. Notchback, silver, auto, AC. Yeah, the auto sucked, but no worse than the competition. Lack of AC blows (or doesn’t) on this one. They’re

That is brilliant!

Check out Frontline and Snake River Classics for spectacular “production” MG-B restomods, and maybe Ceres Motorsports for one-offs.

Back in the 70's, there were microwave cookbooks and people made a whole big deal about microwaving everything. Of course there were no internet blogs about it, but people probably faxed stuff around, or scratched recipes into cave walls, or whatever people did back then.

Sorry I didn’t contribute to the list, but now I’m bitching about it.

That’s a fine color. My wife’s 2019 RX350 was Atomic Silver... I think the greyscale domination is a bummer as much as anyone, but silvers and gunmetals are still great-looking.

IDK about Costco, my wife makes the Costco runs, but I haven’t had to show my card at Sams Club for years. As of the last few months, they’re checking again.

I never imagined I’d have a payment worth putting on this list, but I do, and in context it’s just fine.

Well, yeah, it has the same V-angle as ~99% of all V8 engines ever designed.

ND for the hood and air filter.

Because idiots are asking for it, and the world is run by idiots.
