Haters gonna hate, but I love my crew cab f-150 with the smol bed and topper. It’s perfect for my DIY projects, my outdoor hobbies, and for use as our primary family vehicle (wife has a cx5).

It never struck me until this morning reading this article back to back with the regular cab truck comparison that small trucks are given a deference here that is never afforded to small CUVs and that’s kind of interesting.

One is also likely 1000x safer in an accident.

Off-road, I am converted. No manuals except for the most rudimentary of usually older rigs for me, auto is much better suited, especially with that turbo torque this thing will be packing. And the older stuff is now pricey anyway, so fuck it.

Speaking as someone who is on the list to order at multiple dealers for one of these, the issue for me is much more where the money is going.

My experience has taught me that most salespeople are ill equipped to sell gas powered cars to people as well.  So I guess that tracks.

I’m always amazed how quick car manufactures are to throw away a brand equity for basically no reason at all, and then to stubbornly hang on to brands that are slowly becoming toxic to them.

I’m no designer, but to me the Commendatore was always the absolute perfect shape for a hypercar. Smooth and sensuous, but also completely, brutally functional. I feel like Koenigsegg is the only one that’s come close nowadays to the aesthetic with the smooth shape of the Regera with its retractable wing.

Ford sells over a million trucks per year. It is blatantly obvious that they’re building trucks people want to buy. What you want will never happen for the price you demand with today’s safety regulations. Ever.

The GX is a large vehicle. My GX doesn’t fit in my 1 car garage from the 80s.

My first brand-new car was one of these, a 2014 Jetta SportWagen TDI w/DSG and Pano Sunroof, black over beige. Granted, I traded mine in after 9 months and 19K miles for a new 2015 Golf SportWagen TDI SEL w/DSG...which was silly. That said, the Golf SportWagen did have some stuff I really wanted on my Jetta
