What advantages does it have over the simlar price, similar power, similar size, similar wing WRX STi? And don’t say hatch. Nobody buying something as rediculous as an STi, RS, or Type R is putting of “hatch practicality” that high on their priority list.

The thing is that you get both of those in the Forester. I looked at the XV and bought a 6MT Foz. It is built on the same platform and really isn’t much larger outside, though you get more cargo space because the hatch is upright instead of sloped. The shifter feels more precise than the 5-speed unit and the 2.5

Came here to see if someone posted this. Was not disappointed.

A big part of it is that you have to buy a Bolt ata Chevy dealership and through the whole process where they spend an hour trying to upswell you into a Silverado then start another hour of playing games with monthly payments instead of negotiating the price of the car and then just when you think you’re done they put

There’s one where I work. Bask in it’s glory.

Yeah I’d think there’d be a startup doing that with old Leaf and Prius batteries.

Fair enough. Just reinforces the original point I was making - there are some misconceptions about how good the batteries are in these and that makes it easy to get a good deal on a used one.

Yeah I’d think there’s gotta be a cottage industry that can reuse the battery packs from EV’s.

Didn’t the Leaf switch to batteries that could deal with heat better recently after some of the early ones in warmer climates were dying?

The prices reflect people being scared of the looming $16,000 battery replacement. But at these mileages, the battery should still have 5 years and 100k left in it and by then non-dealer shops might be able to do the battery swap for much less. These are definitely on my radar if gas starts creeping back up in price

Oops yeah sorry I meant 3222. I don’t know where the 9 came from. It’s a little over a 300 lb. difference which will hide a lot of that power difference.

I’m not yet convinced the FoST is actually going to be much faster in a straight line either. Honda is claiming 2900 lb. on the Si vs. 3922 on the FoST. Based on my driving experience, the hp rating on the FoST is a bit optimistic (this seems to be an issue with a lot of the EcoBoost vehicles) and Honda usually is a

The FoST isn’t going to be that much faster. It weighs 320 lb. more than Honda is claiming for the Si and Ford over-states their hp numbers while Honda tends to be conservative. My guess is that 0-60 the Si will only be like 0.2 seconds slower.

Yes the inspection is a joke. I’ve been saying forever that we either need to make it worthwhile or get rid of it. Personally, I’d rather have seen t get stricter, but getting rid of the current one altogether is fine. PS somehow we actually don’t have emissions inspections here in SA.

In my experience United’s international flights have the smallest economy seats of any airline flying out of the US. These prices are low enough that you might be able to upgrade to Economy Plus or whatever they call it and still come out cheaper. But if not, buyer beware... a recent United flight I took from IAH to

Eh, I would say they both have a reputation for cheap disposable cars. Especially now that every rental car fleet is full of base model Sentras, Altimas and Rogues. Maybe it’s just where I live, but Nissans here sell for huge discounts on MSRP by aggressive mega-dealers pushing credit approval to anyone with a pulse

You’d be amazed at the number of folks that only have experience with automatics and think that putting it in “P” is good enough.

As she approached the house, the complaint says, Dawson noticed the Jeep started to roll backwards.

Does some of it transfer? I bought a 3 year old Hyundai back in their 100k warranty days and I got what was left until 5/60k transferred to me. But that was a few years back now. I’d hope at least something would go with the vehicle.

Marketers don’t think the singletons need them. Marketers try to make the singletons think they need them because they have higher margins than coupes. That’s their job. The carmakers realized that by-and-large they make more money for each $40k CUV they sell than each $40k coupe they sell, so they paid the
