I just got mine hooked up again a few months ago and have been playing Mario Kart 64 pretty regularly with my 3 and 7 year old. The 3 year old is just getting to the point of being able to get around the track, but he is having tons of fun. It is much more their pace than GT5 on PS3 that I had them playing before. I

The problem with a price like this is that we’re getting to the point where it is cheaper just import one in good shape (and you can get a diesel that way to boot - yes it has a broken transmission, but the body is clean, the motor runs, and it is $2k less): http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/cto/5623140959…

Keep Buick. Turn into a Murdersofa....

It looks like it was on sale in Russia in 2013 for 700,000 rubles. Based on the exchange rate back then, that’s about $16,000. Listed mileage then is the same as now. The guy who owns the shop says he has agents all over the world. I know the ad seems scammy, but considering the shop specialized in 25 year rule

Holy shit this happened one block away from where I work! I’ve eaten at the Jack in the Box and I know exactly where that crappy BHPH lot is. What’s really nuts is that in between my office and that JitB there’s a damn police station! It would have taken all of 2 minutes to get the cops there while the guy was boxed

What about auto-replies? I sometimes set my phone to auto-reply to texts with a message that says I'm driving and I'll get back to you in a few minutes when I get to my destination. If someone sends me a text right around the time I get into a collision and my phone auto-replies, can the scanner tell the difference?

Is that green as ugly in real life as it looks in the pictures you posted?

I have a neighbor a few streets over that has a DeLorean rotting under a tarp. Won’t sell, because it still sort of runs and he gets it out once every year or two and drives it around the block.

It’s easy to forget how small the Cactus is if you haven’t seen it in person - it is basically the same size as a Mini Cooper that hasn’t been selling well. Is there really a market for another Mini-sized car in the USA?

I grew up in Pittsburgh and moved to Texas 8 years ago. PNC Park is pretty much the only thing I miss. Getting seats along the third base line with that view made it a good game even if the Pirated played like crap. Which was pretty much every game from 2001-2008.

My idea of fun is a little different than everyone else here I guess...

I think a lot of the old timers have learned to just ignore Justin Westbrooks articles, because, let’s face it, it isn't working. His writing doesn’t fit in with the traditional style here at all.

For some of us, the problem is that the vans have just gotten too damn big. I had a 2007 Santa Fe. The Grand Caravan at the time was 17 inches longer, 5 inches wider, and 1 inch taller. It didn’t fit in my garage, but the Sanata Fe did. Granted some of the larger 3-row crossovers like the Pathfinder are basically just

I noticed the guy’s name was Woodhouse and the first thing I expected in the comments was Archer jokes. I am so disappointed I had to come this far to find one. Jalopnik, I am disappoint.

I think Miles is a good guy. He’s active on Oppo and from what I can tell he is being truthful about his situation. I have no problem with an 18 year old making $100k on their own and spending it how they want. But even the smartest 18 year olds are prone to making irrational financial decisions due to lack of

I think we just have different opinions on what “affordable” is. I’m a mechanical engineer a few years out of school and my after tax and mortgage income is about the same as yours. I would have to cut a lot of things out of the budget to afford more than a $40,000 car, but I suppose could.

That’s not really Model S money though. To realistically afford even a base at $75k you should be making over $200k.

Regarding weight - ESAPI-style Type IV body armor plates have an areal density of around 7 lb/sf. Let’s assume the armor is on-par with that. The area below the glass on the Explorer doors looks to be roughly 3x4 ft or 12 sf. Times 4 doors is 48 sf that needs to be armored. So roughly 350 lb. of armor or one

The video didn’t actually show any AP rounds, but the article and press release are claiming Type IV which means that it will definitely stop AP M2. And yes it is practical to armor against AP M2, and no, you don’t need any steel at all to do it. The Army has millions of ceramic/composite chest plates in service that
