I design/test armor for a living. Digi is right - there is nothing new here conceptually. They are just trying to make it sound cool in their marketing video here.

Level IV is not rated for .338 Lapua. It is rated for .30-cal AP M2. But if you can stop that, in most cases you’ll stop a .338 lead ball round.

San Antonio resident here. Not surprised at this. The road is too far out of the way from the major points of interest in both SA and Austin to make it worth it for a lot of people. I drive between the NW side of SA to downtown Austin pretty often. Even when I35 traffic is heavy - which is most of the time really - it

David, it’s “free rein” NOT “free reign.”

You know what, you’re right. I always assumed it was fuel injected, because I never had any typical carb issues with it (it was a hand-me-down when I was 16 and didn’t know much about cars). Just looked it up - turns out somewhere around 81 or 82 they added a computer-controlled carb with a mixture control solenoid.

I understand buying a non-pretentious car for commuting when you are well-off, but I cannot get on board with something like a Chevette. I never felt safe at all in mine. I’m pretty sure if I had hit someone on a bicycle I would’ve been the one that ended up in the hospital - the structure was that flimsy. Seriously,

All of this is 100% true. Mine was a 1984 with fuel injection and the 3-speed auto. They had had 8 years at that point to fix some of these issues and they were still terrible. The only thing better about FI was that it would actually start sometimes when it was below freezing out. I had forgotten all about the gauge

FYI - He took this thing up Pike’s Peak last year...

In 2001, I had a ‘92 Cavalier and was dating a girl with a ‘95 Neon. As bad as the Cavalier was, it was superior in every way to that Neon. For starters, despite being 3 model years and 1 generation older, the Chevy had managed to retain all of its paint. People were excited when they came out, because they were cheap

Agh sorry so many replies on this article I didn't see it.

And how much would that cost? We the taxpayers would have to compensate both Apple and the FBI for the time of all the people involved in this process. Easily a 6-figure bill. How much is the intel worth? Would it not be a better investment to just a offer cash reward for anyone who has heard anything about a terror

Not really - Apple’s just saying that as the device manufacturer they shouldn’t be compelled to do anything with the device after it is sold. It is no longer Apple’s device at that point. On an individual basis try telling a court you won’t comply with a subpoena to open a filing cabinet that you sold to some guy on

I see no way Apple can be compelled by the Supreme Court. Forget the security concerns all together, it is a first amendment issue. They are being asked to write software which can be considered speech as it is written work subject to copyright. The government cannot compel speech from private citizens. Done.

“Apple’s reasonable technical assistance shall accomplish the following three important functions: (1) it will bypass or disable the auto-erase function whether or not it has been enabled; (2) it will enable the FBI to submit passcodes to the SUBJECT DEVICE for testing electronically via the physical device port,

That is part of the issue. There is even bigger issue that most people here are ignoring to focus on security implications: how much of an economic burden can the government force on a company that had nothing to do with a crime besides manufacturing a product that just happened to be involved in one? The custom

Can confirm. Sorry about your Elantra and CX-9, Avis.

Yes. But this is coming from someone who had a bright yellow S10 as his DD for several years.

Omg the paint on that WRX

My co-worker DD’s his on drag radials. Just took this photo. SC300 with a big turbo, 5MT swap, and adjustable-height air shocks. If you’re ever back in San Antonio, give us a shout - I’m sure he’d let you take it for a spin.

Came here for rotary. Was not disappointed.
