It’ll be fine. All of this whining is just sour grapes anymore. It’s already fine. As an airplane it’s more than good enough. People like the British believe that so vehemently they’re wrapping an entire capital ship in it’s success.

I used to live in Beaufort and had to listen to the F/A-18s all the time. They weren’t that annoying until the rear of the plane was pointed at you.

I’ve read the Norwegian pilot’s takes on the F-35A...it’s another fascinating take on the program. I do think the A is going to be successful, in its own right.
Ha! The legacy Hornet I flew, the helmet I wore, and my 36 year old carcass are all dinosaurs I suppose. Time will tell.
If the helmet and it’s EW gear is as awesome as they say, the F35 will be a milestone in military aviation and one tough adversary. However if someone manages to hack the plane or the helmet, the hole thing will badly backfire. We all know in analogue mode the Lightning isn’t a very good plane or maybe the Norwegian…
