@mms13: The Waiter has only a knife, corkscrew, bottle/can opener and tweezers/toothpick.

Wow its so light weight and portable too! :)

@jagowar: Angry Birds is a phenomenon. People will buy or pass on a platform based on the availability of this one game.

These aren't anything new, really. I have a single blades Swiss Army knife with profile like this one that is over 20 years old.

"There's plenty of space underground, the mayor explains. 'Why not use it.'"

Maybe. But why would you need a high-speed data connection in order to transfer visual information to your monitor? How is this better than just using a mini-display port to plug your laptop into an external monitor?

Aww c'mon man! I hung that one low just for you! :)

There is no real evidence that Apple's "real world" expected battery life is in fact any more accurate than similar battery life reports companies like Dell & HP offer.

I will only care about this new "innovation" when there are a wide variety of readily available devices that can make use of it.

My guess, and this is only really a guess, is that is had little to do with the actual wire and more to do with the chipsets and protocols that will decode that data on both ends.

I am not sure about MacOSX these days, but on a Windows7 (and likely XP but I can't remember) laptop you can just set up a power scheme that turns off all the features you don't want to use in order to maximize battery life.

Even though I game on my phone just about every day, most of the time I am away from home when I do so. So unless I carried these little joysticks around in my pockets all of the time (which I wouldn't) I would only use them at home.

@pettiblay: You always had to choose between speed and battery life anyway. The higher you settings and more features you had turned on, the quicker your laptop died.

@Birk Anders: 7 hours on the new MacBooks doesn't really compare to 10 hours on the old ones.

@MacAttack: Most people aren't going to want to limit their laptop like that for standard every day usage.

The problem with all of these add-on joysticks is that they are just not practical to use when you are away from home.

Hmm I am eligible for a new phone in a couple of months.

Zunes are superior to iPod in nearly every single way.

Hmm... unfortunately all binder clips would need to be stainless steel before my company stops buying the plain black ones for me to steal. The best part about Binder Clips is that you so rarely have to actually buy your own :)

Any light is enough light to start turning beer sour. Even the light you get from outside the fridge when you open the door.
