I never understood why people would want to have a netbook that ran off their phone.

Talk about needing education...

Lots of companies could make there products here. However this would greatly increase the cost of the product (do you want to pay $600 on contract for an iPhone?

I fail to see how this is Apple's fault.

Hmm Origin Computers seems to be ripping off the old Origin Systems name and logo...

@ithy-phallus: Cracking Kinect sells Kinects. However Microsoft's game economy is still locked down and safe.

@Karth is Ego Tripping: More like ignorant poster week. Ever since the site redesign I have noticed a marked drop in the quality of comments on Gawker sites.

"Apple has proved this with their PCs for a looong time now."

You have to set up a Google account if you don't already have one before you can activate your phone. To set up a "Google Checkout" account all you do is attach a credit or debit card to your existing Google account. The process is almost exactly the same as entering your credit card into iTunes. I think your view is skewed. I think everyone's view is skewed. Part of the reason that Apps sales are less on Android is that there are so many fewer paid Apps available through the Android Market than there are in the Apple App Market.

It does, because I guarantee that in order to offset this new fee App prices will be increasing. 30% is a huge chunk of revenue for even large and established companies, let alone smaller App development studios. The money has to come from somewhere.

This story just makes me love Android all the more!

Apparently chrome extension links don't work when viewed from Gizmodo comments. At least, both my own and the one you are trying to share don't open for me. I get a Chrome Webstore error.

Because when I open a new tab, not all of the bookmarks are displayed. Also I don't always want to navigate to a new bookmark, a lot of times I am just looking for the name of a website or something.

Doesn't work correctly for me. I click once and it opens my Bookmark Manager in a new tab. Clicking the button again just launches ANOTHER Bookmark manager tab. All I want is a simple list (not in a tab) where I can access my bookmarks.

I don't want to always show the bookmarks bar. If I did, once I had it open via the SHIFT+CTRL+B keyboard shortcut, I could just leave it open instead of closing it with the same shortcut.
