Sometimes I’m watching anime on CrunchyRoll and I remember when I finally was able to buy anime as a kid...if I wanted to spend $30 for a DVD with 5 episodes and I’m glad I lived to see better times

I think the craft is much more apparent in a lot of the older fantasy movies with regards to set and costumes and puppetry. I think that’s why we all went out of our minds with the DVD featurettes showing that type of thing for LOTR and why we get so excited seeing practical effects in recent movies.
