I’m fascinated by news I hear trickling out of senior homes about the rising rate of HepC. We as a culture are going to get fucked by our livers.

Not to mention, there are numerous studies showing that knowing spoilers makes things MORE enjoyable. I plan to rewatch all of S1 of TGP because I know the ending and it will be much more fun to watch for hints. This article saved the OP a TON of time. He should be thanking us, imo.
Tahani’s OG torture was that “Jianyu” wouldn’t talk, as in, he couldn’t praise her. Chidi’s OG torture was lying and breaking all his ethical codes for Eleanor. Jason’s OG torture was not having access to Dynamite Cheetos or whatever people in Jacksonville eat.
I thought it called back well to Chidi’s original S1 torture being that Eleanor clearly wasn’t his soulmate. He was so lonely on earth, having the promise and then denial of a soulmate in the afterlife is what makes it works.
I think we got a few glimpses at the end of S1 and then again last night — Michael HATES them. It’s going to take a while, or a major threat from Sean, before he concedes that he needs them. He HATES them.
Literally as soon as I realized, at about 9:40 last night, that S2 started in 20 minutes, I felt this insane craving to mainline all of S1 and I knew it was impossible, but damn, it feels even more necessary now.
They’re all push-ups. That’s lame.

Wow, I hadn’t thought of it that way and I’m really glad you raised those points. It makes me think, also, of the way I as a viewer reacted to Bonnie (and Zoe Kravitz) in the earlier episodes. I think the show allowed or encouraged us as viewers to feel the “she’s too pretty, too sexy, too exotic” feelings that the…
It’s aggravated by the veneers. Her veneers at one point were FAR far too big for her mouth. She’s had them adjusted, but they are still not quite right, and along with the other work she’s had done, make her voice sound teeeerrrrible.
Loose use of the word “know” isn’t it?
I get it, really I do. I am an unfettered binger of great TV. But I have a special place in my heart for this show. I never looked up spoilers, which is rare for me. (I spent Friday looking for a spoiler on the twist in mother! which isn’t even in wide release yet, so...) but I just thought, it was so well-crafted as…
I thought she was quite affecting in her short run on Mad Men, too, but she really delivered the goods in Handmaid
I don’t know if this is uniquely American (I think it is, but have no research or real evidence, just a gut feeling) but I think there is a real feeling here that if you just do everything *right* you will never die. You won’t age, you won’t get sick, if you do, you will get cured, and you. will. never. die. It’s so…
You are not alone. I was like, sing-song saying it the whole time. It was delightful.
No. They will not improve that story by continuing it.
I’ve never seen The Holiday, but we are just now watching Season 1 of Love on Netflix, and the way Bernie talks about The Holiday, I kinda of have to see it now.
eh, I still would. Would U?
It’s like a hose version of Dorian Gray, the way the mansion is in the sun and the sad pool house is in the shadows like it’s haunted and falling apart like betsy’s heart.
13.75 times mine!
I guess so... But I seriously side-eye “not clothed” and “not in the road”... but, like, I’m gonna move on. Thanks for sharing, it’s a really interesting tale.
