Alonso’s hit was incredibly dirty and definitely belongs in the conversation. But it was part of a football play, and came from the front. Gronk’s was from behind, and after the whistle. I’d argue that makes it worse.
He later said that he was fouling everything off to see more pitches. He was seeing major league pitching for the first time and prolonged the at bats to get more practice.
Yeah our Spark is 99% a commuter car and has only the driver in it, and it’s great for that and city run-around. It’s all the car you need for that.
Drive a Spark, can confirm. It’s hideous – in almost 3 years of leasing it I don’t think I’ve taken a single picture of it yet. And it’s plastic fantastic. But it’s a riot off the line, and fun in a “this is so bad it’s fun!” way to toss around. If you managed to snag one of the $0 down/$~$120 a month leases it’s…
I think people underestimate the cost to implement such a change. With the redesign of all systems to operate interdependently comes the impact to the supply chain. Common modules are used across models and platforms driving quantities up into the millions per year and unit cost way down. GM and Ford leverage these…
You do you my friend!
And somewhere in Michigan, David Tracy’s nipples get hard....
I went to high school with no fewer than four Mikes Trout.
Actually it is a BA degree. 😁
I’m not saying a full EV wouldn’t also work, but this works in more situations and stops me from having to have/rent another vehicle for road trips or days where my errands involve running all over town and putting a couple hundred miles on.
Plug ins can also be a long term solution too. A longer range plug in can get you or your wife to and from work but can also be your long roadtrip car without the need for 30+minute stops for charging that people seem to complain about. If all you need is a few more miles or the place you are going does not have an EV…
The only thing that stop a bad guy with an automatic braking system is a good guy with an automatic braking system!
If only the cyclists had their own automatic emergency braking system...
I can only fit about a 11.6 kW system on my roof so to get the capacity I’d want I’d be looking at a Tesla Solar roof (My HOA doesn’t allow traditional panels on the front of the house). with 3 Power Walls to get the system I’d want. That would be in the $90-$100k range. I haven’t gotten a formal quote because I know…
How’s this for perspective. When Harper’s contract is over Bobby Bonilla will still have 4 more “Bobby Bonilla Days” to get paid.
Powerwall’s have a usable capacity of 13.5 kWh so you’d need of half a dozen PowerWall’s to charge a Model 3 from 0-100%. That’s slightly cost prohibitive and you’d need a very large solar array to store around 100 kWh of energy during the day to be able to charge your car at night in this matter for “free”. I come up…
I had a 91 Sentra SE-R when these came out. Those Civic SI’s wanted nothing to do with my car. My SE-R was somewhere around 7.5.
I call BS on the operating costs of the Alfa. There is no way that thing isn’t spending half the year in the shop. It’s fuel costs are likely half of whats being used.
“But trying to think of something cooler for $10K.”
