Everyone at my wife’s work really likes the new Bolt. They find it attractive

This post needs more traction. Also I swear this exact car was on Jalopnik a few days ago.

You realize it took a lot of money to make this thing look this good

Yeah, a buddy got one of these for his boat house. Since he isn’t there all the time, the low battery indicator didn’t help. We had to swim under the garage door to open it from the inside. I’m generally happy with my August, despite its spotty auto-unlock.

Every car with a strut rod that I’ve owned has had them fail insidiously*, holding just long enough to give you a false sense of security before dropping the hood or glass on the back of your head.

The coupon takes it to $38.

yeah the old VWs are great candidates for an EV swap because they’re so simple, light, and gutless in OEM form.

yeah man, because the 15" steelies and OEM disc/drums work so much better for racing than 340mm C6 Z51 brakes and 18s. /s

oh, I owned a high-mileage E46 (and an E24, but that’s from a completely different era), so I’ve been through the ringer. Thankfully BMW made maintenance fairly easy, even if the parts themselves are expensive. And the M5 would be the only older BMW I’d be in the market for, since it’s a bit of a dream car for me.

ah man, you think the civic and corolla are small? bless your heart.

so... are you saying to buy a high-mileage E39 M5 or not?

Bingo. I’m sure in their ideal world they would surge rider rates at one multiplier while increasing drivers’ cuts at something much lower. So drivers see a message that they can earn 50% more during the surge, while actual surge prices are 300%. An economist would likely argue that a rational driver would take the

Pretty sure they beat Argentina in ‘82.

From my limited experience on a bike in Chicago, cyclists there are insane. There was a terrifying disregard for personal safety even in fairly crowded areas.

From a purely economic standpoint, surge pricing is an incredibly powerful way for Uber to determine how elastic their service is in any given area at any given time, allowing them to analyze data in real-time, ???*, and maximize profit.

I appreciate that you prefaced your opinion with ghosts of poor decisions past.

Ah, ok... I assumed you JUST got yours. I love the i3, just wish it had a 5th seat belt (3 kids).

All of the small-capacity EVs are dirt cheap. Our eGolf was $12k from a dealer, and it does the 50+ mile daily round trip just fine. The only reason we didn’t get an i3 (I like the goofy styling and love the eucalyptus inlays in the giga-world) is the lack of a 5th seat belt.

Hope Solo is from DEEP in MAGA country, so she very well might be.
