I’m fairly certain a couple of senators writing a joint letter to Blizzard hasn’t derailed any other activities.
You know, when news of this first broke someone on here mentioned that we should all write our representatives, and I said that would do nothing since no laws were broken. Apparently I was incredibly in the wrong there. So, my bad.
ESPECIALLY when you get both parties to actually agree on something.
While Senators are part of congress, it’s customary to refer to Senators as Senators and not Congressmen. “Congressmen” generally refers to members of the House of Representatives. Wyden and Rubio are US Senators so they should be referred to as US Senators Ron Wyden and Marco Rubio.
They most likely didnt hear about the reduced ban and the return of the prize money since Blizzard released that statement on a freaking Friday night.
Who knew the key to reaching across the aisle was Hearthstone?
LMAO You know you fucked up when Congress actually does something about it.
I’m straight and I’d do him.
Ah, yes, cosplay, definitely something the straights are known for being the best at.
(and yet I bet half of them still choose to dress as openly bisexual character Deadpool)
Yep. That must have been early 90s. I either wasn’t working or made around minimum wage, maybe $4.25 an hour. So I worked almost an hour to get some bread I thought was free. I would have been just as happy with whatever they gave out for free, which we didn’t even get because we got garlic bread instead. Thought the…
Bet you hadn’t thought about that in eons, but reading this brought back the memory, AND the fact you voted with your feet. So that just proves how little we like these types of things. Had the entrees been $6.50 instead of $5, and the bread not been a separate charge, you may have become happy regulars.
$2.50 is the portion you are being charged for ALL of the employees benefit. If you want to deduct your server’s portion from your tip, divide $2.50 by the number of employees participating in the benefits program and subtract that number from the tip.
Back when we did not go out often to places with waitstaff, we went to somewhere and the first thing that the waitress did was get our drink order and ask if we wanted garlic bread. And it was the type of place where they brought you some sort of bread in a basket for free, so we were thinking that’s what it was, she…
Salty is nuts if she thinks the question is: “should I tip 20% on the pre- or post-surcharge figure?” The correct answer is to calculate the tip and then deducting this fee.
I support employees getting paid benefits and a good wage and am happy to pay more (and have done so) to patronize establishments that look out…
I don’t care. This is not my problem. I understand that we live in a tipping culture and I believe I tip more generously than most. But it’s not my job to ensure every employee gets benefits, that’s the employer’s job. You make a gross profit selling goods and services at the listed price and out of the profit you…
Personally, I think salaries and benefits should be calculated as a part of the cost of business instead of as line items. What’s next? A $5.00 utilities surcharge? $1.50 for silverware? We customers already complain about getting nickle and dimed to death for things like a $0.50 charge for a 2nd small cup of BBQ…
I’m regretting this as I type it, but this is a way restaurants can get your butt in the seat and order, then spring the added cost at the last minute. I support paying benefits, but I hate this sneaky crap. Just roll it into menu pricing with a note on the menu. I’m wondering which MOA place this is, as I very well…
