Waiting for Anthony Weiner to come out with Hungry Weiner.

I re-read “Good in Bed” after finding it at a library book sale and I was sadly disappointed. The 22 year-old me who loved the book and couldn’t put it down was now transformed to a 30-something who found the book tiresome and heavy on the chick lit soliloquies. I realized the fluff I loved 15 years ago should have

I had a knee-jerk negative reaction to the title “Love Warrier”.

Agreed. I love some of her books but lately her stuff hasn’t been great. I just finished The Next Best Thing over the weekend and it was really poorly written and has a number of 2 star reviews on Goodreads. She writes fun beach fiction. It’s not “Important Literature” (not that Melton’s is either) but I am tired of

Wow. It is too early in the day/week to have to read that pile of garbage coming out of that woman’s mouth.

and also:

Jesus, you scared me for a minute there.

And? So you went and found a more recent Facebook post that doesn’t really excuse the general shittiness of your reaction to his first statement and his second statement still doesn’t really support any of the stupid shit you said the first time around. So why the fuck did you wallpaper the thread with that? Now you

It’s neither fair, nor appropriate, nor decent, nor logical given the overwhelming evidence that the Arquette family supported all of Alexis’ transitions. Your doubts are based on nothing other than your own self involvement, nice try though.

Guilty until proven innocent is definitely the best approach to take in life, especially when critiquing someone’s expression of grief on the same day as his sibling’s death. Assuming the worst in people leads to happiness. Keep on.

“It’s sadly common...” You are being patronizing and disrespectful right now. Alexis’s family did NOT “misgender” him. They were supportive of hist transitions, which were multiple, and his evolving pronoun preferences. Ironically, it is you who are erasing their support and love in order to make his narrative fit

But they said, Our brother and then our sister and then our brother... so seems like they were recognizing what alexis wanted.

Ok, I am admittedly really really really bad at this, but I need a ruling. Her follow-up (the full one, not what’s written above) is shade, no?

“I regret saying ‘half’—that was wrong,” Clinton said.

I think part of this ‘controversy’ is fueled by Clinton using a ten-cent word like ‘deplorables’ as opposed to something Trump would have used (clowns, bozos, assholes, Mexicans etc.). It makes the phrase sound elitist.

I got that part, I’m more confused about the initial court thing with her ex. How does one go from having documented evidence of physical abuse to being ‘framed’ in court and having a restraining order placed against the victim...

Phenomenon.

She wants Desert Daze to cancel Foxygen’s appearance because of her issues with the singer/her ex, and Sean Lennon said he doesn’t want to get into the middle of it and isn’t canceling them. That’s when it exploded into this mansplaining thing. Her initial position isn’t very strong tbh.

To think “allowed”???

Yeah this guy is a grade A douchebro and all but I feel like the real story here is the girl saying she was abused by one of her band mates and yet they somehow have a restraining order on her? Or got her banned from Joshua Tree or something? What’s going on there? O.o
