Speaking of gross behavior, did everyone else all ready know about this?
“Ancient immortal warlord here, nine centuries’ experience running my own criminal empire. Finally got to watch Shang-Chi at the weekend, and hoo-boy do we have to talk about the logistics of the Ten Rings. 1/”
Of all the things that I found wildly fantastical in the movie (which I loved!) — unrealistic action scenes, an underground fighting ring for superpowered individuals, mystical villages, dragons, Awkwafina learning how to be a Hawk Eye level archer in like 4 days (less?), faceless chicken cats, Ben Kingsley — the…
Ha, that’s amazing! That’s some “Superman is a Dick” level fucking-with-the-mere-mortals.

But actors probably prefer a real recoil to jerking their arms, and especially in scenes with lots of guns going off, it would probably be hard to believably simulate…
Y’know it’s probably not that difficult to put in CGI gun pops in this day and age, and it’s probably been used before but at this point it should be a default.
Aside from money, is there a logistical reason why blanks are still used and gun shots aren’t done in post? Because I don’t think they were firing blank lasers in Star Wars and SFX technology has has gotten a lot better since then.
