Saying homosexuality is beautiful is just weird. It doesn’t come across as a compliment exactly. Saying so and so are a beautiful couple or love between any two people is beautiful sounds fine, but specifying homosexuality as beautiful just comes across wrong.

yes, but the idea that Mackie is upset about it is what’s toxic. He’s perpetuating the fear of being perceived as gay, not the other way around.

I found Mackie’s assertion was a lot of internalized homophobia that he tried to hide behind by saying homosexuality is beautiful. He considers it beautiful but only when it doesn’t apply to him at “the bar” and his character of Falcon.

As someone who isn’t sexual at all, I appreciate these friendships in an entirely different way, but that doesn’t mean you can’t view them through a gay prism and enjoy them that way if it makes you happy. That’s what’s great about this crazy, mixed-up world.

For full context, Sebastian Stan has gleefully given his support to Bucky being shipped with absolutely ANYONE people want.

...you can’t meet your friends at the bar anymore because homosexuality has been exploited? what in the word salad fuck?

Yes, for all of Mackie’s supposed respect for homosexuality, he seems to be pretty insecure about the character he plays being interpreted as gay.

My favorite The Nanny anecdote (well, my only one since I never watched the show even though I had a mild crush on Fran Drescher after seeing her in Doctor Detroit) is that Daniel S. Davis said that he received letters from people imploring him to teach Charles Shaughnessy how to do a proper English accent.

Always liked Fran Drescher. She does her own thing and knows how to set up and land a joke. I wish Indebted had been just a little better suited for her shtick, there were plenty of chuckles but it never quite came together.

She is a very beautiful and charming woman.

Well there was the time he became BRODOK...

Agreed. Also, when they figure out how to do Squirrel Girl, the world will have a new favorite Marvel hero.

MODOK is great, but I am still hoping he can show up in a Gwenpool adaptation.

Yes! I was also dreading the scold character and so happy to see what they did with Jodie. Aimee Garcia does a great job.

M.O.D.O.K. was a C-List villain for 40 years and would have been a C-List villain forever if a kid’s comic didn’t try something a little different.

Let Lou do his magic!

We’ve watched the first two episodes of M.O.D.O.K. and it’s pretty fun. Lots of high-speed verbal and sight gags. And it’s a nice touch that they’ve made MODOK’s family an atypical sitcom family: his (ex-?)wife is deranged in her own way, rather than just being the typical no-fun scold, and his kids have personality

He should still be required to wear his doofy finned helmet at all times.  It’s already paid for & they’re not getting their money’s worth out of it.

I hope to god this rapist piece of shit gets outed.

And as unreliable as human eyes can be, now add in all the optical limitations of the viewing devices used by military pilots.
