You remember how in my opening I specifically referred to the context of the comics and the context of the show being fundamentally different?

Blind Prophet, at some point you’re going to have to come to terms with the fact that even though this is an adaptation, it still relies on the same storytelling conventions as the comic book and therefore relies on the fact that we have to sit with these characters in order to understand them and that fast forwarding…
You’re point that Disney hired Brian Peck, which they didn’t do?
Are you confusing Disney with Nickelodeon? Because Disney doesn’t own Nickelodeon. Disney has nothing to do with Nickelodeon. Disney has their own kids channel called, get this, the Disney Channel. Nickelodeon is owned by Paramount.
The Children were basically personality-free ciphers
I mean, I wouldn’t really call anyone in Children of the Vault a blank slate, but also Cable and Bishop are literally the main characters of the book. Their characterization is goddamn amazing.
If you haven’t read 20th Century Men by Deniz Camp and Stipan Morian, you really should, it’s a masterclass in using superheroes as political commentary. And then there’s Camp’s X-book from last year, Children of the Vault, which was just four issues of amazing character work on both Cable and Bishop.
That’s the second X-Factor team and they appeared in the original X-Men: TAS already back in the day, which is why the photo is on his wall. Forge acted as their liaison, I believe, since Val Cooper wasn’t part of the show yet. I assume he left the group, although, what the heck, we might see more of them later on.

That’s a good vest. Lots of pockets.
No, much like the character is dead as he died early in The Last of Us 2 and caused a shitton of whiny gamers to whine gamily.
Oh, he dead. D-E-D dead.
By the way, Marvel doesn’t have any “all black” or “all female” casts in any of their films. Black Panther notably has a white guy playing a supporting character for a lot of the film. Captain Marvel and The Marvels has freakin’ Nick Fury has one of the main characters.
Disney isn’t “freaking out” about Peltz, since there’s no way he can get on the board. I don’t know why he thinks nakedly showing his racism and sexism will help him do that, but he’s an old white guy, I guess they think they can do and say anything and people will reward them for it.
This isn’t actually Marvel’s fault — they hadn’t even announced the covers yet when another website jumped on the chance and declared that Marvel was celebrating “pride allies” and everyone freaked out. The covers themselves, as you show, are pretty damn good and everyone pretty much calmed down after Marvel made the…
Sunspot is explicitly Afro-Brazilian. He’s black.
I’m glad you are so confident in your wrongness, but that’s what it is: wrongness. And your insistence that other people are the problem and not you is, in fact, making you more wrong. Go fuck yourself.
Skeleton Crew seems like it might be very different and really interesting, too.
I can’t really say. It’s been awhile. Something’s looming. Something’s looming.
*note for those getting upset, liking something is not indicative of its quality, you can still like and enjoy bad things, no one is telling you not to enjoy it if you did.
