I mean, the soul-eating dragon isn’t the villain; Wenwu is the villain. The soul-eating dragon is the maguffin that they are trying to stop Wenwu from unleashing.

That was one of the worst Marvel movies I’ve seen so far.

If you guys like this musical (or just the concept behind the musical), you should really read The Day the World Came to Town, which is just an accurate non-fiction account of the events. It goes much deeper and also gets much sadder and happier at moments, but it is an astounding read. Highly recommend.

No, he references “except for that guy from Dollhouse” which is actor Enver Gjokaj, who played Victor on Dollhouse and Daniel Sousa on Agent Carter. The “incompetent sexist Mad Men” is in reference to the other male characters in the SSR, not to Bradley Whitford.

Did Lin Manuel steal Hamilton’s agency when he made that musical?

And? It was ahead of its time.

Also it’s worth mentioning Kang’s real name is Nathanial Richards and he’s a descendant of Reed Richards.

If they are the same person, it’s not incest, it’s masturbation.

Counterpoint: no, it doesn’t. David wasn’t the only comedic writer at Marvel and the show doesn’t even really use his type of humor.

I mean, she has a point in that the larger machine of blockbuster movies and the studios that make them have issues with telling women’s stories and including representation of LGBT characters. Her specific criticisms of this movie, however, fall flat since they are mainly “it seems phoned in.” Which...no? It didn’t?

I have seen a few, “Eh, they still did Natasha dirty, the male pigs” pieces from the usual suspects.

I think Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel finally killed the “But female superhero movies don’t make money!” lie for most people. The bigger question for Black Widow was if it was going to make people go back to theaters or not, which I guess the answer was “Yes.” (I saw it in a fairly packed theater, for the record.)

The director, Cate Shortland, has stated that Scarlett is good with this as her last MCU movie and if there are further Black Widow movies (which Shortland has said she would love to direct), they would focus on other characters, presumably Yelena.

Actually, no, I didn’t have to pay to see this movie, at least not directly. I have an AMC account, which I use fairly often, so my membership fee

I’m not opposed to the idea of spinoff shows, but the Disney+ model is now set up so that I have to pay to do homework, essentially

You don’t have to believe me, but answer me this, what could I possibly gain by lying?

I haven’t watched Falcon/Bucky yet, nor do I plan to, just like I never watched “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” or “Agent Carter,” because I shouldn’t have to watch tie-in TV shows to understand the movies

I think it was already confirmed that she was going to show up in the Hawkeye show.
