I will leave the goddamn presidential slot blank in November.

The Straight Story is great — I saw it on DVD a while ago and found it Lynchian while also heartwarming. Plus, that pun in the title — since it’s about Alvin Straight and is literally Lynch’s most straightforward film.

This reminds me of xkcd:

Lemire’s run on the book was okay, although it always felt like a cheap knock-off of the Fantastic Four (complete with cheap knock-off of Doctor Doom). From what I’ve seen of Yang’s run, however, he’s taken it in a much more interesting direction, while still keeping the “explorers and super scientists” part that

It’s a television show, not a documentary. There also was not a group of Nazi hunters in 1970s New York.

but that scene is schlocky as hell and represents nothing remotely real.
