In case you hadn’t heard, some good news for a change!
I’ve been largely absent lately. I’ve felt like I’ve been too busy to interact here, but I have no clue where that time has been spent.
As some of you know, I am a pest control technician (exterminator). Yesterday, I got sent to a house for a hornet void nest. It’s a rental property and the landlord had done a very bad job of installing a wall AC unit, so there’s a hole in the siding next to the unit.
Thank you, GT! I am sending an email to corporate HR to let them know that it's not safe for me at my store and request a transfer. At least this way I will have documentation of my fear and I will not have to return to my store.
Guys, does anyone want to talk about t.v. & radio shows or podcasts that are about food and cooking that we like? I am about to out myself as the public broadcasting nerd that I am, so get ready.
I have been invited to 2 potluck gatherings for New Years. One on NYE, one on NYD. I have ideas, but I'd love it if someone could maybe give me more ideas, particularly things I could possibly make ahead & freeze.
I have some spinach that I would like to use. Usually when I make spinach (any dark leafy greens, really), I sautee with garlic, sometimes onions, often some kind of nut (walnuts are usually on hand), and throw some kind of vinegar in there at the end.
I'm trying to do the thing. By the way, I am a big time lurker 'round these parts- often, by the time I've read all the comments on a post, I just don't have the energy (or feel I have nothing of value) to add to a conversation. But I pretty much like everyone on GT & I get a lot out of my lurkings.
