Based on what? Super had terrible writing and lots of dumb characters and designs.  Unless the people who wrote the bulk of GT are writing this, there is no reason to think the writing will be good.  Broly’s reveal proves that it will most likely be stupid, tone deaf crap.

Almost all of the DBZ fake story movies are problematic.  The only ones I ever liked were 12 and 13.

Super was full of stupid power level inconsistencies like this.  They will brush it away without making sense of it (they can’t).  Like Trunks... wtf was he? He seemed be stuck between SS and SSG... except he was stronger than USSG characters?  Then Kale does Broly and even though she is a SS she is fighting USSG…

Great ANOTHER movie about a fake character shoe horned in for the fake movie plots.  This makes sense though because Super was 95% tone deaf and full of retcons.
