I asked who lost money, not who probably sorta kinda maybe lost money somehow.

This is schizophrenic nonsense, my man. Think about what you are saying! You’re saying Cam Newton is a phony because he enjoys success but does not enjoy failure as much. Should I assume you react to the death of loved ones the same way as to the birth of a child? Or are you a phony?
Hah, perspective is for rational people, ie non-sports fans.
The problem here is that you aren’t satisfied with reality. Which is fine, none of us are, but the thing is you need to keep in perspective what’s really important. That press conference is not one of those things.
He talked to the press for 4 days before the game and made an appearance after the game where he actually did answer your question about the fumble. Cam Newton will talk to the press again very soon. What difference does it make if he answers questions right after the game or a week down the line?
1) I think he clearly has matured some in 5 years.
I absolutely do not believe that there WOULD be “where was the leadership” questions if it were Peyton sulking. Because it’s happened, and there weren’t those questions.
So does this make Peyton Manning a baby?
It was okay to do. But it was also lame. People do lame shit all the time, even mature ones, particularly in the most disappointed moments of their entire lives.
I’m pretty sure that he wouldn’t have had to write this if the Broncos lost and Peyton sulked, because that happened two years ago and the world wasn’t devoured in a black hole of takedom then.
I’m struggling to understand how he didn’t “handle” losing. Did he snub the winner? Did he say something shitty about the winner? Did he throw his teammates under the bus?
Probably in a Papa John’s location somewhere.
This is the definitive critique of this garbage. Fantastic as always. Also, Cam graciously engaged in the farcical post-game ritual of sportsmanship, seeking out Manning to congratulate him. That is a LOT more than Manning offered Drew Brees, except when Manning skulked and slinked away and took his ball and ran on…
Or maybe, I don’t know, Tom Brady.
What does that mean, ‘can’t handle losing’? Did he beat his wife, run over some kittens, or merely not feeling like suffering media dipshit assholes after losing the biggest game of his professional career?
But....he is the MVP of the league. That’s not like, his opinion, he won the award.
Absolutely! These “where’s the leadership???” takes would be doubly silly in Peyton’s case, seeing as he’s indisputably one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
