Yes. But do not start with Pele. It's very artsy and experimental and takes a while to get into. I didn't like it at all on the first listen. It eventually grew on me. Pink, Choirgirl, To Venus and Back, and Earthquakes are the most accessible. Actually, The Beekeeper is probably the most accessible, but there's not

I want her to do The Big Picture from Y Kant Tori Read.

It wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't so distracting.

The Christmas album was fantastic. That was an Xmas album done right because of her classical approach to it. Gold Dust was also awesome and several songs improved on the originals (Cloud On My Tongue and Flavor, to name a couple).

Promise is good, mainly because of Tash.

The album could still stand to be about 15 minutes shorter. I also wish she'd work with a producer other than herself again.

Man, you just listed my least-favourites from that album. Try the title track, Oysters, Rose Dover and Promise.

She did. Same with the live album portion of To Venus and Back.

The live version of Bells for Her is way better.

Also, I'm going to count Y Kant Tori Read as one of her best albums. Yep. Cool On Your Island, Etienne, Floating City, On The Boundary, and Fire On The Side are all wonderful songs. The live versions she does are great but I am partial to the original 80s-pop-rock production.

Night of Hunters is great but you kind of have to like classical music to appreciate it. Gold Dust is a fantastic orchestral reworking of some of her best songs.

I would dispute it. Pele is overrated. The first half is the great. The second half? Not so much.

Female singer-songwriters mellow out after they have kids. Fact. Tori, Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Alanis….it happens to the best of them.

This and To Venus and Back are my favourite Tori albums. They are overshadowed by Pele and Choirgirl and Earthquakes, but I love these two most of all.

Still Oliver, not Connor.

Because there is nothing fun about meta. It ruins the illusion of the fictional world by pointing out its artificiality and constructedness. A story should be read for fantasy escapism purposes only.

I just take things at face value. I don't need a metaphor attached to a story. I just want a fun story.

Like a typical Morrison fan, you're overthinking this. It's just entertainment. Nothing more, nothing less.

It's not.

It isn't.
