From what I've seen and read, it's mostly hard labor and janitorial services on the various compounds and ships. It can range from baby-sitting to food service to fixing leaky roofs to carrying buckets of water for no damn reason.

I totally feel you on all fronts. When I was first diagnosed with epilepsy, the doctors I saw all had different opinions and no bedside manner. I was scared to take one of the hefty drugs, as my seizures didn’t indicate needing the big guns and those are way more detrimental than newer, lower dose drugs. It didn’t…
Good luck! I hope you can soon. :) I was in a similar situation. My sleep has been out of and then under control several times. I always thought I was a “night owl”, and I have never ever been a “morning person.” Sleeping during the day also felt more restive, but like you said before, that doesn’t conform to “real…
I have similar natural sleeping patterns where if I’m stimulated by anything (productive tasks, reading, TV, ANYTHING) I can’t sleep until the wee hours no matter how long I’ve been up. And sometimes I’m fine off a little sleep; other times I’m dead after sleeping a “normal” amount. I have narcolepsy. I recommend…
Have you been tested for narcolepsy or any other sleep disorders? Your story sounds a lot like me from before I was diagnosed and treated. I’m now able to go to bed around 10pm-12am after being awake since 8-9am, no daytime sleeping, no sleepiness. This was absolutely not possible before I started taking Adderall XR…
To anyone who regularly takes naps or feels like they need naps regularly despite hours of sleep at night: you might have narcolepsy. Take it from a narcoleptic: get yourself checked out. One sign is being able to regularly enter REM in 30-min naps. So to anyone who wants to try polyphasic sleeping: 1) you’re denying…
Hahaha! This was an excellent thing to wake up to. Thank you.
BRB, barf-crying. Just realized there is an option worse than Trump.
I agree. Supposed bankability is not a good excuse. I understand the reasoning behind wanting to reach their Chinese audience but not be embroiled in the Tibet vs. China politics. It also seems like it wouldn’t be good to cast someone as a “generic Asian” and not mention the actor’s/character’s origin. I saw someone…
That’s what I was thinking. At least they made Swinton’s character Celtic instead of an Asian character played by a very white person? I find that I’m relatively okay with this. But I’m a white person, so what do I know?
Ugh. I can’t even watch the video. This was a shitty thing to wake up to. (No pun intended.)
Seriously. It looks like a somewhat black Scarlett Johansson.
Short and sweet. I like it.
Samesies. I very distinctly remember the feeling of reaching in, searching, and pulling out a condom seven years ago. Luckily we noticed mid-act. *shudder*
My boyfriend loved Alien as a kid, but what got him was Howard the Duck. He had recurring nightmares.
I’m kind of confused about this too. My grandmother used to run a daycare and at one time had a kid (like thirty years ago) that couldn’t have dairy or formula, so the doctor recommended goat’s milk. I don’t know if it was raw, but it wasn’t a formula like KC’s preaching. But I do know my grandmother’s face every time…
Ditto. I might die if high-waisted goes out.
You do you, and thank you for affirming my 26-year-old ass isn’t too old to shop there. I’ve been feeling a little desperate cuz their jeans fit me best and consistently (at any size I’ve been). I felt “old” last time I went in and panicked about having to find other well-fitting jeans. Pants shopping is the worst.
Re: the perfume. Dear god. I once went there because a friend wanted jeans. I ended up with two of my favorite flannels for only $10 each, but holy crap, by the time we left the store, I was light-headed. The perfume is enough to keep me from going ever again.
I straight-up laugh every time I see that Garner trailer. I really don’t care that it’s “based on a true story”. It's hilarious.
