One of the most consistent sightings on the side of the highway these days are “slammed” cars broken down. Blown tires - collapsed suspensions - whatever. These are not acceptable road going vehicles. And while I won’t criticize anyone who works on cars or enjoys modding cars, you have to be crazy to think these are

NEW DAD - PLEASE READ!!!

Ok, it is a green Mustang that is supposed to have some heritage because it is green w/ old repo wheels.   Sorry, will always be a CP.

1000% Agree. My 911 has just over 300hp. I have tracked it for over 15 years. Have had it over 140 mph on the track and have some ass in a Turbo pass me going 155 - for me just to pass them again due to their lack of skill. This transcends to the street as well. Cars have plenty of HP - they need more skilled

I will always have a soft spot for the RX7. My dad brought a brand new 1986 home and was fine with letting me drive it. Took it to my sr prom. Still remember stuffing my date’s dress into the car - not a ton of room in there. Thanks pop.

My dad died at the early age of 53. But in the short time he was here, he taught me how to work on cars, build anything from decks to furniture, anything fix that needed around the house.

Bought mine with 200K on it. Now has just under 250K. Super easy to work on. Built like a tank. We also have a 2011 w/ 110K on it and looks/drives like it has 20k on it.

Well done kitty.

I knew going into this it would be voting towards a CP. Voted NP anyway. I love these things. Wanted one in high school. Still love them many years later.

I got my grandma’s Chevy Vega for my first car (in the late 80's). We have a Landcruiser w/ 230k on it. Will probably be over 300k before the kids are old enough to drive. It will be their car. Cheap. Big. Safe. Slower. Be thankful you have it and shut up.

There are more 4 door wranglers in my neighborhood than I can count. A few doors down the couple has a matching set all decked out with a ton of expensive off road equipment - which will never, ever get dirty.

This.. A few years back I wanted a new car for commuting after selling my BMW 5 series. I wanted a low model 3 series with the M package and NO nav. Almost impossible to locate through BMW’s site. Carmax made it easy. After a month of patience, I found exactly what I wanted and it was prices $3-4K lower than anything

NP because it is. Because these are going up in value. Because 330k is nothing to these cars - nothing. Because bank vault construction. Because - just fix the seat and the trim - no big deal. Because you will keep it forever. Because zombie apocalypse. Because I own two Land Cruisers and I know - you don’t. Have a

CP - Because I have not liked one Nissan product since the 300Z. There I said it.

Completely agree on the Land Cruiser being excluded. We have two and they are granite. I can attest to the BMW issues. I have had several and my 2010 3 series will probably be my last BMW. Too many gremlins and the brand is just getting worse.

It was 1986 and my dad pulled up in a new red on red (yes 80s!) RX7. I loved that car. Drove it to my Sr. prom a few yrs later. Was the first car I hit 100 mph in. It would rev so effortlessly. Back in 86, hitting 7k revs was high. The thing felt like a go cart. When the convertible came out I wanted one so bad. Yeah,

I get tired of a car when it reaches the end of its life cycle. Now hear me out. I have two Lexus “Land Cruisers” - one with 240K and one with 110K - these are nowhere near the end of the their life cycle. They are easy to maintain and built like tanks. I will not get tired of either.

The year was 1986, and my mother brought home a silver Toyota Cressida. Being that I was in high school, I was able to drive it once in a while, which was amazing. Almost a good as driving my dad’s RX7 to prom.

Mine is a 996 as well. A 99 I bought in 2001 and have tracked the heck out of it. Still looks, runs amazing.

Well done sir. Well done.
