There are huge repair bills awaiting. Needs window regulators (anyone who has owned a BMW knows they crap out). It is not registered probably b/c of the engine light and the huge repair bill. Maybe new cats as well? What about the water pump and the rest of the cooling system - those are a guarantee to bite the…
Sunroof. I almost never use mine. They make too much buffeting noise when open - in every car I have owned. Boxy SUVs, aero sports cars - all of them. I get the term “sunroof”, but how is the sun shining directly on my head every time I do open it. After a few minutes of sweating and having my inner ear vibrating, I…
996's have shot up in value. The 99's have the dual row IMS and non-Egas throttle. Under 3000lbs w/ a manual. Mine has the rear ltd slip diff and has been a monster on the track for over 20 yrs. Never broke down. 20K for a slushbox may seem high, but this is a now a NP. Two years ago a ND. Deal with…
Looks good and love the colors. But, ND - because of the cheep tire choice. Doing the bare minimum is not what this car deserves, and most likely reflects on other corners cut.
NP all day. Comfortable and reliable - maybe forever. My fleet includes a LX470 with 270k miles and a LX570 with 160k miles. Both look and drive like they have 1/3 of actual.
Great example of an ordinary car. Uncharacteristically clean for 50k miles. Just not worth the asking price - not close. Clearly worth more than most people on this board are willing to pay. A hard ND at asking price, but I do think it is worth $13-$15K as it is probably one of the nicest available anywhere. I…
530xi. Before our kids were born we took our 325 wagon to the baby store to try out putting them in the back seats - you can’t. Unless you are 4ft tall, you can’t get a baby seat behind the driver’s seat. Off the 325 wagon went and the hunt for a 5 series wagon. That 530xi was a monster in the snow with snow tires.…
WING on a pickup - instant ND. Sorry - trying to be pragmatic....but just....wing.
This is real. I lived in Back Bay for a long time - didn’t have a parking space because of cost (and this was over 10 yrs ago). Negotiated with my company to pay for a rental parking space for me under the Prudential Tower which was $550 month at that time - again, 10 yrs ago.
Lincoln Navigator is the answer. Even though the current model started in 2018, it recently beat out the new Caddy, Merc, and BMW in a Motortrend large SUV comparison. The interiors are beautiful - especially the Black Label. Has a great engine - same as the Raptor. And drives great. Oh, and holds everything you…
Yes please! I had a 99 528 with the sport package (and a stick) and loved every bit of it. Car was reliable if you take care of it. Don’t defer anything... Since have had two other BMW wagons - this is the best looking model though. Would love for it to be a stick, but realistically that is what my sports car…
I love all of the green. For reals. Don’t love the car’s reliability - don’t love the TTs style that much - but I am in love with the colors.
Over the last many, many years, the 911. You could make an argument for the new Corvette, but that model is still too new to know its reliability, depreciation, etc. Pure driving and reliability, whether on the road, on the track its been the 911. It wins most of the awards, shootouts, comparison tests for a reason.…
19998 LX470 with 265k on it. Looks like it is 65k. Still has the original suspension bits (self leveling works great). Just put new coils in it. Just gas and go. The thing is a beast. Our 2011 LX570 has 150K on it and looks amazing as well. Go buy one.
Agreed 100% on the Macan. We bought one to compliment our other P car. Wife loved to drive the Macan (Turbo was almost as fast as our other P car), but it is SMALL in the back. Our 11 year old boys fill the back, and the trunk area is also small. None of our 60 lbs dogs would ever fit back there. We actually just sold…

I like the color combo. Rare to see interior / seats in such good shape. Well maintained with avg miles - driven only 6500 miles a year. People can talk about how Europe got the right engine, but these are going up in value. If you want a solid driver that has been taken care of, this is a solid option.
Let’s talk about yesterday’s Porsche. How the hell does that get a 62% CP. That car should have been NP all day. They are great cars, especially in diesel. This particular one was priced under market. As long as it passes PPI fairly cleanly, you have a great hauler that also gets good gas mileage. Just stupid.
