What a tired old trope.  Even my feminist husband said this.  Y’all are not even listening to yourselves!  Pay attention!

Please. I am your love Love Island aficionado. I’ve seen four seasons of the UK version and am anxiously awaiting episodes 15-20 of season five on Hulu. I tried to watch the Australian version but the people were awful and I ended up not caring and dumping the series. I’d love to see the German version, but my college

I’ve read that the people on the UK Love Island are terribly bored and condoms are left everywhere.  In other words, agree with KT, above.

My parents divorced when I was four, my siblings a few years older than me. Post-divorce, the first thing my now working single mom did was teach us all how to get the cereal and milk in a bowl and turn on cartoons.

I find myself turning to Bob & Tom in the morning when NPR is reporting on some Trump crap, but had to turn the radio off when NPR was reporting on the children in concentration camp cages and B&T had on Donnie Baker.  Sometimes there’s just no winning.

Would you like me to rub some butter on that?  ;-)

Oh, I think we know what was in the suitcase!

It’s too bad you weren’t on a date with commenter pthomas745, above, as he would have likely jumped into the water to attempt to save the pilot and after, provided you with a blanket for shock and two hours of psychoanalysis to ensure your mind was in a decent place.

I admire Merkel so much. Agreed about her story - she’s an amazing woman and I fear her extraordinary life and accomplishments will go without notice in the end.

That’s it!  (Sorry so late - been out of town and hiding from news!)

My apologies.  I only know a few conservative Jews and now that I think about it, they are rather liberal.  Stupid comment on my part.

Agreed.  Which is why the statement from the Museum is so reprehensible.  See also Ivanka, Jared, and all the other Jews turning a blind eye both here and in Gaza and the West Bank.

Because you can’t even hear yourself think in Planet Hollywood or any of the Hard Rock offshoots. They’re truly vile.  Bubba Gump is at least food-centric.

Agreed.I had a minor anxiety attack. My daughter loves musicals and we’ve stayed near Times Square a couple of times and never had a meal that pricey.  We did hit the Bubba Gump place in Denver, but found it to be okay. That said, I absolutely adored that character in the film.

This reminds me of the time I was in London for a few months and the original Ghostbusters song was out, but the movie hadn’t shown yet in the U.K. A friend there was humming it and I said, “you do know this is a movie song and guys who hunt ghosts?” She had no idea but never thought to question the concept behind a

I think this is totally a Conservative/Orthodox response. There’s a burgeoning split between Reform Jews and Orthodox, especially. I would imagine the Museum (of which I was a founding member) higher-ups are coming from that point of view. Even my Reform rabbi found a way to excuse moving the embassy to Jerusalem.

That was my thought.  Mother shudders at the mere thought of something so exotic-sounding as a mocktail!

I grew up in a time of no seat-belts, sips of dad’s beer and and sitting on my grandpa’s lap steering the car. But even I knew not to let an infant watch television. I’m serious about this - kids shouldn’t have access to screens for longer than a moment until they’re older than 2. Fight me!

First, you’re beautiful; like movie-star beautiful.

BURNETT: Suddenly, after the administration has been aggressively defending the policy for six weeks, Trump joins his critics and says, oh, family separation is wrong. And then he tries to blame his predecessors. And he’s continued doing that right up until the present.
