As annoying as it is, they kinda have to. They can get fired if they don’t and have to reach certain daily quotas on all those things. It’s bad store policy but not the employee’s fault.

You do realize they get secret shopped all the time, and pretty much have to go through that Q/A bullcrap or they get written up, right?
So let’s break this down. You were dumb for buying a damaged console, then a good employee tells you the incredibly reasonable thing of they can’t but your damaged console, then a bad employee buys it anyway, then you go back and vengefully litter the good employees store. Sounds more like a bad customer story to me.
Wow that’s a terrible way to look at it, that person is doing their job, they don’t like it either but they have to do it. If you don’t like it tell them so you’re both adults. Saying you’re being “attacked” like some victim is just screaming other issues.
I just returned from a trip to Gamestop. We talked about Doctor Octopus’s arms, Global Warming leading to a Fallout or Mad Max situation, Donald Trump’s hair, Benjamin Franklin’s sex life, and whether or not the moon would be considered its own country of moon people if we settled it.
