It very much varies by service. Army care is.....not great....I tore a tendon in my ankle and had to wear an ortho boot/cast thing. 3 weeks after getting the boot off, i FINALLY got X-rays of my entire foot..turns out I tore a tendon and BROKE my foot. And not one doctor noticed until after it had healed incorrectly.
