I live in a blue state that actually took all of the precautions seriously, and they still couldn’t manage to keep our schools open. I understand that reopening them will make life easier for parents who have to work while helping their kids with remote education, but it’s just too soon to do this.

Same I didn’t expect it but I definitely felt emotional watching it.

I have to admit that watching the video of that nurse getting vaccinated made me more emotional than I expected. It’s the first time I’ve felt remotely hopeful about any of this since Biden’s election.

I’m confused why everyone thinks we SHOULDN’T prioritize schools and teachers? We should be shutting down restaurants and bars and ensuring schools stay open. It’s been documented that kids are falling behind, and this is affecting poorer and minority students without access to resources more than other kids.

I’m not going to try to defend any party to this. But I get just wanting to be with the person you love.
