I used to have a joke with a friend that if i died rich i would donate it all to a children's hospital with the stipulation they would have to stuff me and animatronically have me in the lobby, waving at people. They could dress me up for holidays too - like Santa for Christmas, As a Bunny for Easter, etc.

I had a pair of awesome red patent short wedges i got tonnes of compliments on that were Jessica Simpson. I always felt i had to apologize when people asked the brand but i think she knows her market. I also bought a pair of her flat boots and they were a decent price, lasted a decent length of time and could be worn

It gets to be a bit much. I'm the last single person and it's getting noticeable to my partnered friends that i've shelled out a lot of money for kids birthdays, births, weddings etc. over the years and they've never had to get me anything since i've had none of those.

I don't get the baby shower thing entirely myself, though i also don't get the big deal with hen parties in the UK either, those things are nuts compared to in north america. Though to be fair, i was living in Scotland :P

I have an absolutely stunning silk dress, handmade from the 1950s. And the silk is just disintegrating, it's heartbreaking. I know i could get a copy done (i work in textiles) but it's just not the same.

I love them too, they fit me well. But beware of taking too long of strides in those - i'm pretty tall and ended up ripping two of my nice vintage skirts up the back by running for the bus. Ladies back then probably never ran in those :P

Cushiest job ever. If it means i say goodbye forever to sobriety, i'm willing to take my chances!
