I’m trying to think of a good comparison to this, and I think I have one. This would be like if back in the day, Car and Driver bought a copy of Cars magazine, and then re-printed pictures from it in their own magazine. And when they got sued, they then claimed that because they bought a copy of the magazine, they

That’s an amazing feature that changes the meaning of the term “torque steer”

I had a friend in high school who’s dad worked for Panasonic America. Specifically for their home appliance division. There was a intentional focus on how switches, knobs and controls felt and sounded. They would have samples scattered on the table to feel an test. Now that everything is touch screen guess that’s a

As a kid growing up in the 80's it always seemed to me that anything Japanese- whether it was a boom box, car, TV set or whatever was approximately 20 years into the future. My Mom had a 1985 Camry and the stereo in it was insane: 200 teeny little buttons and knobs, all of which made neat, satisfying little clicky

And Camry is sold over a million units, it doesn’t mean its not dull in design.

Sony Driveman. You heard it here first.

I think the takeaway is that the Alpine A110 is a really good drivers car.

I think it might really make some people look at how far they actually drive on a regular basis and realize that an EV can do that with basically no problem.

Neutral: Actually, I’d contend just the opposite.

I posted this to Kinja in 2013. I agree this price is insane but you can’t say we didn’t see this coming. And since I’m a blue collar guy this gives me hope that maybe I can afford to send my kids to college some day if I do sell mine:

You can spend this much on a brand new McLaren, plus spend $10k a year in maintenance, and lose $100k on it in 5 years. Or get this, spend less than $1k a year in maintenance, and sell it for $1ook more in 5 years. Now which one is a deal?

If you can spend that much money on an E30, you don’t buy this OR that. You buy this AND that.

Because the car company of Volvo itself is still headquartered in Sweden, most of its cars are built in Europe and now the U.S., it’s designers are Swedish and the factories and processes were established in Sweden, regardless of where the factory is built. Geely is solely a parent company of Volvo, and a partner in

Well, last week I did my job to make sure Volvo stays solvent and continues to make wagons.

That night ended in a blown up 10 second car and some buster had to drive the best race driver both sides of the Mississippi home only to be rewarded with someone else’s already opened beer.

. . . one guy held the prestigious job of “get arrested pretending to be the director.”

why didn’t thye just use their cars to block the street and keep the cops out?

Compare with prices from other high quality forged wheel manufacturers- Rays, Advan, Work, Rotiform, HRE, etc... They all range from 1-2k per wheel. Forged wheels are expensive as hell to manufacture and command a premium for a reason. BBS offers cheapo cast wheels too if you are on a budget.

No, GM loves making money, like most companies. What they hate is spending money, and they refuse to accept what their competitors have learned: doing one often requires the other.
