Throwing $10k at the Miata is a surefire way to lose $10k. The cars suggested here will lose far less than that over a couple years of ownership.

He’s specifically searching for cars at the bottom of their depreciation. Getting to own and drive the car for a couple of years for free* (or close to) is a better deal than renting. Renting is using his money. Buying is storing his money (with the right car).

All good suggestions except the Mustang. Just no. Should’ve recommended a Hellcat instead. Anyway, since we’re talking sportscars, nothing comes close to a Porsche 911. Throw him into quarantine with people who actually have the Coronavirus.

Damn straight. I don’t generally approve of the no fly list, but this seems like a clear cut candidate for it. Proven history of deliberately disrupting flights for personal gain, that should be an unambiguous no fly case.

And ban him from flying.

He should be fined the for the ticket price of all the passengers he delayed on his flight and on all the connections for that entire day. Then they should fine him for the extra expense the airline incurred in employee time, fuel and maintenance costs.  Then he should get his ass kicked for good measure.
