I have my reservations about autos in mainstream cars, though. I have had bad expeciences with modern(ish) cars.”

I’m content with my Camry. The big thing that has happened is priorities have shifted. I’m 12-17 years from retirement. And one of the variables in that calculation is how stupid or intelligent I am with money.

Death. Don’t forget death.

And now that my gripes about the 370Z transmission have been immortalized, I can finally die a happy man.

That’s about to change precipitously as Europe electrifies. Even now, good autos are getting better mileage too.

I’m 53. I’m neither for or against manual transmissions. I’m neutral (pun intended).

Less than 2% of new cars come with a manual, you’re not exactly going out on a limb.

Well there’s a second likely reason given that he doesn’t sound very appealing in a romantic sense.

I have been lucky enough to drive 2 generations of Viper. And I got to drive them both pretty hard - This car will lose traction so fast, its all so fast... I mean its the only super car i have ever driven, but man the speed blew me away - i mean under full pedal i was shifting like every 1-2 seconds until 5th.

At 54, I’m over manual transmissions.  That’s right.....I said it...take your best shot

Quite honestly, the obsession with values among owners is the worst part of driving an expensive/rare car.

The ability for EVs to scale to where they need to be for mass adoption is a massive gamble right now.

35 is considered “slightly older folks”?  Shit.

No thanks, these lights are atrocious in the dark and actual LED lights (not HIDs) should last the life of your son’s next car.

How about having to get a license to own a gun? You already do for cars.

I’m there too. The older I get the more I realize it’s not worth it to fuck with strangers. The next guy could be this shining example of the human race.

I used to be all about flipping people off if they tailgated me or cut me off, etc. Now I just let things roll because in the last 30-ish years since I got my license road rage has gone from getting the bird back at you to this kind of shit. Ain’t worth it. Let the other idiot think they win - at least you can walk
