Can we agree that the Citroën DS was one of the most futuristic cars of its time? It pioneered unconventional engineering solutions that were unheard of at the time; hydropneumatic suspension, a brake pedal that was a champignon, a narrower rear track than the front, etc.

So is a Porsche 918 Spyder then. Or Bentley Bentayga W12. Or Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Exactly. The society is moving in the complete opposite direction.

M140i 3 door actually. The one with the torquier engine.

Not at all. The Daytona was a Charger modified to go faster. It still at heart very much Charged-based

But then so do many SUV/CUV/off-roaders. According to the rules, this is an estate car too:

The Renault 5 Turbo isn’t s hot rod, it’s a purpose built homologation special built for rallying.

Commuting in an exciting high performance car is one of the most hateful things I have ever done.

It is indeed a superb car! 😃

That is not an estate car, is it?

But they are elsewhere. So the Golf R is most definitely not the hottest hatch on sale.

Class wins =\= overall wins…

Great timing!

Nah maybe one or two, but for the bread and butter ours are far superior.

Precisely if there is a thing diesel have is mid range torque, make them less prone to be affected the gear in which you are in.

I would gladly trade the power advantage for a manual option.

No it isn’t. Because the A45 S AMG and the RS3 exist.

Well actually, the 240bhp Mercedes-Benz V-Class can do 135mph. So you can carry your grandparents AND conquer the autobahn. 😁

They have nicer interiors, but still not as nice as a car. And they retain the agricultural suspension of their commercial counterparts (including live rear axles in some cases).
