The issue here is that there are two sides to this:

Exactly money isn’t everything, knowing what you are doing is.

Thanks for the lengthy explanation.

I have no experience with the Twingo but do with a Forfour Turbo Twinamic; a relative bought one five years ago and I drive it from time to time.

In fact in 2019, in Europe, the Renault Clio was the best selling car in the market. It outsold that famous nameplate: the Volkswagen Golf.

I don’t think it would work quite as straightforward for the products you, their styling is far too unique to peal away the Renault / Alpine badges, put some Nissan ones and call it a day.

Only the Megane remains and the last Clio had lost the magic of previous RSs...

The A110 is at least as good to drive as the Cayman, although maybe the Porsche is more refined, that is what all the reviews say.

Except for the C4 Cactus coming as a Jeep, which will not happen literally, it looks like a quite thorough analysis.

The A110 isn’t exactly bland.

There is a difference, all your examples are brands which closed but their parent companies continued making cars.

Could very well be the case. The Nissan shuffle could also affect Renault if for example Nissan stopped making Micras at Flins and took it to a Nissan factory.

If its German brother is any indication it isn’t a particularly good or exciting car.

I’m betting on one of the ones starting with H.

Renault isn’t going anywhere. This is just a politician speak politician-words. They want the banks / BCE to help and to keep as many jobs in France as possible. That’s it.

3rd gear: one of the Nissan factories facing the axe is the one here in Barcelona (which produces the Navara/Alaskan/X-Class among other things). Things are looking good in here for the 3,000 people employed in it.

If this existed I’d be putting down a deposit on  it now.

And as the Mazda MX-5 in Europe. We never had the Miata name.

I remember vividly the experience in Mazdas. You dont’t even need to drive very fast or even very far to notice that they just feel right. They feel like cars made by enthusiasts for enthusiasts.

The current 2 is possibly a better car than the current Swift. It is also “more car”.
