It was, but only with the 3.0L V6, and maybe only the first year they were sold in the US.  I’ve only ever seen two for sale in my area. Makes manual X-types look common.

Did you get pulled over for not having the front plate while driving, or did you get a ticket for it while parked? It definitely has the looks like a nice car, but it just looks like it has the same presence as a regular A7, not a car that cost the better part of $100k more.

Climate control will be factor, heating takes much more than cooling though. 48 miles, miles driven is a much bigger factor in the equation than time the vehicle is running. So much so that it almost isn’t a factor worth considering in my experience.

Sure to a degree, but it would still be a much different experience, and if that experience is what someone is looking for then it makes sense.  Maybe not what you would do, and in most cases I wouldn’t either, but I can see how it would be appealing.
