I need to do more fact-checking and research on this one. The story is so complicated I’ve been sitting on it. Needless to say, gumball 3000 would likely rather see the story die either way.

I have it on strong information that, ironically, the gumballers in the accident were traveling under the 37mph limit, and that the unfortunate victims had run a stop sign, but that story requires more research and fact checking. Maybe soon I'll get the full story.

What we did was literally NOTHING like what “street racing” is, as the public understands it to be.

I always enjoy the hate mail on this. No one seems to pay attention to the pathetic state of driver education in this country, or the tens of thousands killed each year, mostly in one at accidents.

Separately and together, these are really terrific folks. Love them both. Kudos.
