Did this headline not feel exceedingly misleading to you? You literally quote an Italian official confirming Italy’s awareness of the need for EVs. How exactly did you come to the conclusion that Italy doesn’t care about climate change?

Wack. Can’t wait for a bunch of soulless supercars with performance that’s indiscernible from one another.

I was 9 when this 6-Series came out and I absolutely loved it. I even had two die-cast 1:18 models of the thing, one of which I brought to show and tell. Still unashamed in my love for it!

Yes, the 2009 rework of iDrive actually made the interface intuitive and pretty good to look at. Everything before that was a complete mess.

Controversial opinion: The E46 looks like shit and it’s only beloved because it was the generation immediately before the one that made the purists angry.

I always liked the design, especially when it first debuted. I think it looks great in black with those funky Sport Pack wheels. I was 15/16 when BMW sorta went mad with their styling in 2002. But compared to the shapeless blobs they’ve been turning out recently, at least this (and it’s contemporaries) had presence.

Bangle was head of design when the E46 was being developed, but the exterior design was done by Erik Goplen

I agree the looks have aged quite well. I’m willing to predict that in driving one today the circa 2004 idrive system they are fitted with probably hasn’t. My ex step father had one new, the idrive was terrible then.

Why does Bangle get all the hate for the E63 and E65? Both were initially sketched and designed by Adrian van Hooydonk.

I disagree, I think the Bangle 5 is beautiful now.

The E60 was definitely the best of the Bangle era, true then and true now.

I thought I was crazy, but I’m with you - I’ve really come around to the E63 6-Series. Perhaps it’s because we’ve become inundated with overwrought styling in more recent cars that it’s softened my impression of the polarizing Bangle-era 6er.

Jalopnik was probably the first car website I remember bringing up the discussion about diversity and inclusion in car culture. It’s one of the reasons I like this website so much, and I’m proud to show it to the world everyday. I know the article isn’t about Jalopnik, but hat tip to you guys for the amazing work

Dude is probably going to kill someone at some point and he’s morally shitty or at least way off center for making you complicit in this with knowledge of what he is doing. Turn his ass in.

why haven’t you reported him to the police?

Ugh, I know a guy who drives drunk in his Tesla all the time because he has AP. Before he would Uber everywhere which was great. Then he moved from the city to the ‘burbs and got tired of paying extra in Ubers to get smashed. He rationalized his Tesla purchase because it would save him money on Ubers. Fucking people.

Just...go away. Hamilton is doing something with his platform and the world is all the better for it. Suck it up, Buttercup.

Lewis Hamilton is happy to be on the right side of history in the end, regardless of what it means in the short term. Which is why every NFL owner should have to publicly apologize to Colin Kapernick and every other player who received abuse or threats from their employers over kneeling during the anthem.

So what’s wrong with using his “look at me” for something worthwhile than just look at me?

I might ordinarily agree with you, but not on this. On racism he is the one person within motor racing that should be heard.
