@Norton: I'm not saying she doesn't have a reason to be angry — as many commenters have already pointed out, the way many people in society approach fat and fat people is truly warped and disturbing.

@emase: I agree with the first part of your comment. Fat is fine. Fat can be healthy. Disordered eating and disordered thinking about food is not.

@girlnamedblue: I had a Barbie speedboat; it wasn't quite as deluxe as the one above and if I actually put Barbies in it, it sank. But that led to hours of bathtub shipwreck-fantasy fun.

I'm not even sure they were all present at the same photo shoot. This looks completely comped, not unlike the "Nine" Vogue cover.

@suiterkin: I like that they called her tour the "Monster of Ball" tour too. It does sound like a monster of a ball.

Six months ago my paternal grandparents in England sent me a folder of old letters from my (long-deceased) maternal grandparents, written before and just after I was born.

I had lice when I was 13 and didn't realize it for almost a month. My hair is really thick and when it's long, if it takes too long to air-dry, my scalp gets itchy.

I covet all the shoes. The slightly inverted spike heel is so 1890s, but the turquoise brings it right up to date. Love.

Perhaps the next step is you'll have to apply for a license to get pregnant and take a learner's test first.

@Cimorene: I agree. It's one of the only ones that seems to capture the character's awareness of her sexuality and her misunderstanding of it.

@weetziebat: My boyfriend and I argue about foreign policy all the time, but it usually takes us back to the "passionate sexual discovery" stage.

When I was younger, I travelled as an unaccompanied minor several times, but we had to wear these white plastic smocks around our necks with pockets so we didn't misplace our ID and tickets and whatnot. They were hideous, but they were a pretty effective way of identifying a child among a crowd of adults. Better than

@swashbuckling: @Pantra: Blue Monday is fabulous, it's like Archie comics but punk. And the "soundtrack" is great.

@marshmallory: It's also nice that the clothes are tasteful, age appropriate and practical, considering how hard kids can be on their clothes.
