It would be a difficult task, but the end result would, if executed well, be more than worth it. Just imagining it now...

I wonder how difficult a project that would be. I’d use the busso V6, obviously, it’s an Alfa Romeo, anything else would be wrong. I wonder if a 75s powertrain would fit? I mean it’s got a transmission tunnel, but everything else is setup for a transverse V6 and AWD.

Thankfully I live just outside my city and the public transport is what I use for getting into it. I’ve driven a Q4 3.2 once, it didn’t feel that heavy but I’m used to things that weigh 2 tons. For me, it’s the looks and the fact it’s got AWD. I just don’t want FWD (nasty incident involving understeer at Silverstone).

Did you get the 300tdi up there? It’s only got 111hp, but it’s nice and torquey, it also does 30mpg almost all the time. Although an auto TDI would be unusably slow for regular use.

Nice to see someone who also appreciates a true classic SUV. Although I would add that the soft dashes aren’t actually that bad. I’d say peak bad Range Rover Classic is about 88-92. The first couple of years of the softdash could be temperamental even for a Range Rover, but ‘94 onwards they seem a lot more consistent

I was fine with the MG SUVs until they used the ZS name. That was a step too far.

I think I know who the culprit or “friend” who borrowed this Lambo is.

Casino Royale is a hard film to top. I still prefer Skyfall and the first five minutes of Quantum Of Solace. Don’t care for the film, but that is the best intro to a film, just perfect. Pity it’s at the beginning of a meh bond film, but oh well. Actually the chase scene afterwards is pretty good. After that... then it

Probably straight piped. I have a project Range Rover Classic with the 3.9 Rover V8, straight piped it gives SVR stuff a run for their money in exhaust noise going down the road. All I can say is they make themselves known, if you get what I mean. My mate knew I’d arrived at his flat and had opened the door because of

I’d say it’s one of a very small number of them.

Lazenby was a unfortunate missed opportunity as well, but I suppose stuff happens. I do agree that making the films in effectively randomised order in comparison to the books really doesn’t help sometimes, but then again they very rarely follow the plot to the letter, that’s fine by me most of the time. I do wonder

That is one hell of a missed opportunity, imagine Diamonds are forever but it’s a revenge plot as well? They missed out. Although we did get the weirdest getaway vehicle in a bond film, a mock moon rover. That was, overall, an odd film.

I thought he was out for revenge because a drug kingpin half fed Felix... can’t remember his surname but CIA guy to a shark.

I’ll agree that the DB5 most definitely isn’t using a stock engine, at the least it’s been tinkered with, probably swapped out, but that is definitely not carbon fibre. The DB5 took a direct impact from a 90s Range Rover Classic (with the murder bullbar, which ram raiders love) which will happily sail though the front

On closer look, definitely is a SVR. Probably the head henchman of whomever wants Bond dead this time, with his SVR leading a pack of bikes and Defenders after him.

To be fair I thought it was definitely a LR, just no idea which because it was flipping and a weird angle and was on screen for about a millisecond. I’m still not sure which one, and I’ve watched the teaser way too many times so far. Probably will be a Defender, I’m going off the fact there is a scene with a bunch

How? I’m saying current no EVs match exactly what I want (a compact saloon/sedan) when an ICE does, surely I am not alone in my distaste for mostly weird or featureless cars that are trying too hard to look futuristic at the cost of good looks, especially at the entry level. Model 3 just isn’t what I want in interior

I was joking. I was poking fun at a brand I like, as the description basically covers any early 4x4 because they basically all copied or were based on the original Jeep. If anything it’s a compliment to the Willys Jeep.

My original comment was a self deprecating joke on a british icon. So basically I think you missed my subtle use of sarcasm, but then again I did forget to use the sarcastic font.

It was imported though the grey market, how are they a different can of worms? They are both basically the same principle bar the power take off the Series 1 had first. Both are offroad focused, both are body on frame and are basically the same size. The original Land Rover was directly targeted at the Jeep. It shows.
