I'm a guy that bought a PS3 in early 2007, shortly after launch (the only reason I couldn't get one sooner, was due to it being sold out).

Yes, as I mentioned, webp in my original post. Even it, is inferior to png. Webp is meant more of a replacement to jpg (which in itself, is thoroughly outdone by png).
I'll admit that the PS3 had a rough start, but I've never taken Sony to be "smug assholes". They wanted it all, for us. They gave us a console that had backwards compatibility, a Bluray drive, Bluetooth, 1080p HDMI gaming, and free online service. It was Xbox who didn't see the same way, and short changed all of us…
Indeed, my friend, indeed.
So by that logic, Warhol's Campbell's Soup Cans is not art, it's merely a reproduction. It's a painting of a Campbell's soup can.
Yeah, because Sony is a good company, and Microsoft isn't.
Why isn't the controller etched with "I'm an idiot"?
"There are shitty websites where you can upload videos and they'll compress them to death and make sub-par gifs with them"
In the end, I think even small derivations like that, if it promotes creativity in someone, it can't be a bad thing. I find people to be too passive, too consumptive, and too free to want to never produce anything. There's such a joy in creating something, even if it's something as small as a gif from something that…
As someone who makes a lot of gifs (which you can see here: http://exhan.tumblr.com/tagged/mine).
Allows for more cooperation, that's for sure. Makes the white phantoms much more dependent on the host.
I mean, it works, but nowhere near as smoothly as Demon's Souls does.
And what part of, "I hope the return to server based multiplayer in Dark Souls II alleviates a lot of the connection issues Dark Souls has" do you not understand?
If only the co-op in Dark Souls was as easy to coordinate as Demon's Souls. I hope the return to server based multiplayer in Dark Souls II alleviates a lot of the connection issues Dark Souls has. Would be nice to have a truly co-op experience, fighting bosses like O&S, in Dark Souls, but alas it's too hard to try and…
It's Grand Theft Auto, I'm not suggesting it's unpopular, I'm saying I've noticed it crop up in popularity more recently. Due to RT and other YouTubers with millions of subscribers deciding to tackle the multiplayer in a Let's Play.
I take that as a compliment.
A lot of YouTubers like RoosterTeeth's LetsPlay and Node and a few others have been doing videos of it lately and all of those are having millions of hits, so I'm sure that's helped, too. People are excited for GTA V and are playing this one like a lot of people do with games / movies when a new addition comes out.
Woah, video game hipster over here. Sorry bro, I'm really sorry, can you forgive me?
I just hope the game borrows a lot from GTA IV's multiplayer, which a lot of people seem to be rediscovering. I hope we get to hear more about it soon, because that's always been the real fun of the games to me, even playing San Andreas with a friend on the same screen was more fun than singleplayer.
I love that the original 151 Pokemon are all playable on PokeMMO, I hope everyone else knows about it. I made sure to buy a Magikarp right before Mt Moon, Gyarados is one of the best Pokemon still even into Gen 6.
