Yeah, they missed some great parts of the first books, especially Uhtred’s childhood which took most of the first book IIRC. Despite that, I can understand the changes they make due to having to do 2 books per season.

AV Club covered the first season, I remember having some interesting discussions with about 10 people who watched the show back then. No idea why the second and the third seasons aren't covered.

You really should. The third season that just came out on Netflix is amazing, and the previous two were also great. It is a smaller, more intimate story set with a larger story of how England came to be in the background.

It was very good until Hirst got to his usual tricks of soap-operaish court intrigue around season 3, when he introduced the Frankish court.

I was sure she was a ghost up until her death scene. All the signs pointed to it, even when the kids went to the red room for the rea party.

I think so. The third season was a lot more absurd than the previous two, so I didn’t bother with the rest ...

I stopped watching after 3 seasons, but they were OK. Even good at points.

I found this episode very funny, and I don't understand all the hate it gets. Charlie Day is a national treasure.

It could’ve been a good horror movie, had it been half an bour shorter. This movie has absolutely no reason being 2 hours and 10 minutes long.

If you take all the episodes past the first season ones, you could make maybe 2-3 10-episode seasons of a decent post-apocalyptic zombie show. There always was so much fucking filler, so much grimdark crap for the sake of grimdark, people finally got fed up with it. The Negan plot was the final nail in the coffin, and

This film is awesome. It’s 666 times more awesome if you are a metalhead and into Symphonic Post-Apocalyptic Reindeer-Grinding Christ-Abusing Extreme War Pagan Fennoscandian Metal.

The Girl In The Fireplace is my favorite episode of Doctor Who, new or old.

Of course Dennis would be behind it all.

That girl being stuffed into a suitcase is something I didn’t need to see or hear.

No one should be allowed to cover Rush songs. Ever.

What pisses me off the most about Facebook is how my feed looks and what is displayed there (you know, the reason why I have Facebook). Facebook’s feed algorithms are so fucked up, I wonder how drugged out of their minds were the people who wrote and implemented them. Facebook’s ad display algorithms are just as

Yeah, from all that’s known about this case, he either died during the parachuting (IIRC, he wasn’t wearing any special clothing and jumped from a height with a really low temperature) or died a short while after. His body was never found because he landed in the forest, died there and wild animans took care of his

Well, James Gunn and GotG movies are the reason Dave Bautista has a big acting career right now, and it’s cool to see him being so outspoken on this issue. I wish more GotG actors would join him.

Yeah, there is stuff in Tromeo and Juliet that is far “worse” than anything in Gunn’s tweets. The entire movie is an exercise in being as offensive and batshit insane as possible, while still being a somewhat faithful adaptation of Romeo and Juliet (excluding the ending, which is, without going into spoilers, a bit dif
