People seem to forget that Phil and Liz are actual Soviet spies and did horrible things that resulted in deaths of innocents (anyone remember that episode where Liz murdered an old lady by making her overdose on heart medicine?). As much as Pastor Tim might be a self-righteous asshole, nothing he did warrants any

Finally, someone on the show acknowledged what this whole situation has done to Paige. This girl is fucked up for life, and will be fucked up even more once she finds out what her parents are really doing for the Motherland. So far, she probably thinks it's all about gathering information and such, not about stealing

Yeah, him trying to pronounce Vechernaya was painful to hear.

There is an enormous amount of talent in this show, but they couldn't get someone who speaks Russian in order to tell them how to pronounce Zorya (and their last names) correctly?

I didn't have this much fun in cinema since Fury Road.

The Martha scene was sad. Really, really sad.

Henry's epilogue - a broker in Jordan Belfort's firm.

Orwell described a prototypical totalitarian hell, taken to the absolute extreme. Some parts of it were not very far from what went on in Stalin's USSR.

I haven't read the book, but even from the first 3 episodes it is pretty clear that the insanity we are currently seeing on screen is a culmination of a long process, set up by infertility epidemic and the resulting turn to religion.

This is horrifying and depressing, but very well made dystopian show. Probably the most horrifyingly realistic one I know.

This show had its fair share of cringe-inducing scenes, but the suitcase scene is on the top of things I didn't need to see or hear in anything I saw. Plier-assisted dentistry is a close second, just because I saw it a short time after I had a wisdom tooth trouble.

Emmys to both leads, Frank Langella and Holly Taylor. Langella killed it in the last scene. This is a completely disillusioned old man who understands that all the horrible stuff he did was for nothing.

I'll have to rewatch these scenes, but I'm pretty sure he never had a lengthy conversation in Russian. Just some words and basic phrases.

The few times Keri Russel tried to speak Russian, it sounded pretty bad. Matthew Rhys was better at this, maybe because he's used to speak in several languages. I hope they both never have to do lengthy scenes in Russian.

Yes. He also wrote Star Trek Into Darkness, Cowboys And Aliens, Tomorrowland. This is why I was so surprised when The Leftovers turned out to be so good.

I love this show. I don't know why it works, because it shouldn't in a post-LOST TV world. Everything in it is weird and makes no sense, but this show is about dealing with something that makes no sense, so it's fitting.

Suicide Squad.

This show gets more and more depressing with every episode. Everyone is cracking and it will not end well for anyone.

It's 1984, so in a few years their work will amount to nothing, once USSR really starts to disintegrate. I want the show to get to that point, it's the fitting end to Jennings' career.

They will probably do a time jump in S8 finale, 5 minutes before the end, after Negan is finally defeated. The rest of S8 will be the same exercise in boring your audience to death as S7.
