The best part of this episode was Jarl Seigfried punking some French guy just before the execution. Siegfried was probably known to his friends as Seigfried the Trickster.

I love everything about this show, but my favorite part is definitely the Scottish accents. Music to my ears. It's like every Scottish character was told to sound as Scottish as humanly possible.
The girl who plays Torvi is another of Michael Hirst's daughters, IIRC.
This is going to be so much better than the last two books.
I'm OK with a good old burning oil.
It's like Michael Hirst saw the Blackwater episode of GoT and said "challenge accepted!". And he won, the battle parts of this episode were better than everything GoT had ever done.
It's a part of the 1200-year old spoilers.
Their new album was the best album I've heard in 2014. Nothing is more badass than viking metal in Icelandic language.

Yeah, Torstein died in battle with a weapon in his hand. That's a straight ticket to Valhalla.
And Lagertha is a GILF.
Dee goes on trial by combat with Gregor Clegane and beats him by screaming "I WILL EAT YOUR BABIES, BITCH!" repeatedly.
Linus Roache has so much fun playing Ecbert. He's one of my favorite characters in any currently running TV series.
She could call herself Thorunn Scarface.
Len Kabazinsky knows exactly what he does and why, which is schlock with boobs, bizarre fight scenes and gore. I kinda admire him after his collaborations with Red Letter Media.
After all, Charlie might be the smartest one in the gang.
The writer is Mickey Doyle from Boardwalk Empire.
I think I've seen Eugene and Tara entering Alexandria. Gabriel had just disappeared into thin air for at least couple of episodes.
