I haz a big sad. That was such a picturesque turn!

If this was painted zinno or schwarz and never had the nitrous kit installed it would be a solid NP. As it sits, there is no telling what this engine and drivetrain has been put through. CP despite my love of E28's.
The FD RX-7 has to be one of the best bang for the buck "dream cars" out there. The problem is finding one that has been properly cared for and maintained rather than "whoops I blew another engine" modded to shit.
I normally hate Volkswagens. I steer people away from buying them. This one marks, IMHO, the last of the servicable and well built VW's. The added benefit of being a sorted (apparently) track day car that you could stuff and brush your shoulder off pushes this right into nice price territory.
This. I hardly think he deserves to be labeled an idiot... especially considering that he was racing his car at a sanctioned event, something people on this site usually support.
Hah. Yes, that and great places to rest your tools.
87 E28 eta 5 sp: it's fun to be slow!
Man, if that isn't ass backwards!
The cop could have done a better job how? By driving into the flood waters himself? If he had done so he might not have been able to save an imbecile from drowning. Looks to me that this guy was driving way too fast and carelessly for the conditions.
Nice cars. Crack price.
Why? I can understand a rotary swap... but a wheezy NA 13B pushing 3300lb when there is no shortage of 13B turbo motors around. That's just a waste of time. CP
On a roll today, lol
The Doppler effect applies to light as well as sound waves. The "red shift" of distant stars is used to determine how quickly they are accelerating away from us because the frequency of light emitted has shifted down towards the red end of the spectrum.
Call me crazy but I think a fun car should be both hoon and have decent driving characteristics for the track. This could be that kind of a car, but my gut (and a bit of physics) is telling me it ain't.
I can't be the only person who thinks this car is ruined by that swap... and I don't even like Porsches. I would hazard a guess that any positive handling characteristics that this little guy once had are now completely negated by the cast iron boat anchor now sitting above the space that a flat four used to reside.
Something creepy about all these extra legs...
Enjoyed the review. I always like hearing about new electrics as I believe they are going to be the new norm eventually.
True dual exhaust if they don't already have it. But that is LOUD. Beyond that you really need to do some exhaust and intake porting and/or forced induction.
Big Dog with a saddle on it. Yes, I know it's not a really a military vehicle yet.
Twins doesn't necessarily mean more boost. The idea with many twin turbo setups is that you can run two smaller turbochargers which have lower mass wheels, are easier to spool up and thus produce boost much lower in the RPM range.
