Fair enough. I've never heard of/seen Episcopalian nuns in the US, which might be a more faithful comparison in terms of the sort of church they are.

Honestly this sounds like an elaborate troll. Meaning, this dude is doing it for the sole purpose of getting a rise out pretty much every woman on campus, meaning, its just for the attention.

Of course people use the phone, thats ridiculous. However, its not like people who aren't heavy phone chatters (the younger more tech savvy texting crowd, basically) aren't going to pick up phone calls again just because they can talk underground. Not gonna happen.

LIRR is a different animal, also totally overground. Chances are the people who would talk on the phone on the subway wont even realize they have service for years from the rollout.

The reason this is awful is because now you have absolutely no excuses to ignore text messages for long spans of time. Saying you were "underground" will no longer fly as a was to inoffensively blow someone off. This, sirs, is a tragedy.
