Looks like KaKa.
I’m surprised Ford never sold the Ka in the Boston area. The 6 years I lived near there, it's the only car anyone ever talked about.
I’m going to step outside popular opinion and vote for “less is more”. Poverty caps, a.k.a. dog dish caps, are my favorite on older cars as you could color-match the steelies to the body. And those red line tires make for a tasty addition to the package.
In my state there’s annual vehicle inspections that must be done prior to registration. They read the OBD, which has mileage. The DMV gets the inspection data electronically from the testing businesses already, so I’d think it would be a slam dunk for the DMV to calculate your mileage from the previous year and use…
2nd Gear: The logical plan is to switch to a “distance x weight” formula of registration fees. This should get people paying for (very roughly) the amount of road that they use. Out of state travel will be a bit of a challenge to deal with, but it shouldn’t be too bad.
Well, actuarilly...
Ouch. That Hertz.
Unfortunately he was driving a Penske, and insurance only covers this sort of thing with a Ryder.
Damn that's cool.
My bad!
First impression: Grille.
Holy crap that looks sure looks a lot like a Hyundai Elantra at 110% zoom. It used to be Hyundai copied everyone else, now people are copying Hyundai? I guess it’s only fair since they’ve coaxed a bunch of Audi designers away.
But how will anyone know it’s a hybrid!? Better put an H at the end to be safe.
The problem is that by sticking the battery pack underneath they’ve ruined the Beetle’s appearance and ground clearance, giving it the “droopy fat guy” look so familiar from modern cars.
The last car with a power antenna was the 2008 Jaguar XK, last car with a cassette player 2010 Lexus SC, last car with a bench seat 2016 Impala Limited
I would have loved to see them meet Mister Rogers. Can you imagine that?
Car Talk was so prevalent that they even showed up on a PBS animated kids show.
Car Talk taught me the importance of accurately replicating mechanical noises when describing a problem...and I don’t think their contribution to modern dad joke technology can be understated.
Passing on Prairie Home Companion is just a marker of good taste.
